"I found Andrew to be very knowledgable, helpful, and patient with me as to what kind and amount of paint I would need for my project. He took the time to answer all of my many questions. Dunn Edwards is fortunate to have him as a representative."
"Worst customer service of any store that I can recall. Terrible attitude. Condescending would be putting it mildly. 3 employees at the front desk and no customers in the store. Thought I would easily get the answers I needed. Summary: Unless you specifically need Dunn Edwards paint, go to Home Depot or Lowe's. They have never been rude or condescending in the paint dept or any dept. I was trying to match a 23 year old paint from the paint can. Had no trouble a few years back at the Dunn Edwards on Thornydale matching the flat paint. And they were courteous. At one point as I was speaking the woman acted disinterested in what I was saying, and when I looked over at the man to continue the thought, he looked away. The woman finally said if you tell us what you want, we can make it. I said I was trying get help to determine what I wanted from the old paint cans. I think she said "I don't know" at least 3 times. After giving up trying to ensure I get the right paint with some level of confidence, I asked for suggestions about covering up cracks in the drywall at the corners of my windows. I asked if I took elastomeric caulk and mixed in a little paint and dabbed it in and feathered it with a paintbrush, if that would work or if they knew of a better trick. The big guy who turned out to be the paint mixer said I'd have to experiment just like they would. No one else uttered a word. Wow, talk about paint experts. Pathetic. I would've walked out but I just wanted the paint so I could finish up my project. Never again will I set foot in a Dunn Edwards store. Maybe the one on Thornydale if I need more paint to finish this project."
"Went to the store today and it was a great experience. The guys took excellent care of me and gave me the veteran discount. Can't thank you enough for such great treatment. Returned for another 5 gallons today and received the same excellent treatment and outstanding service. Can't thank you guys enough. Mike Kennedy"
"The paint is high quality. The colors are what I wanted. The person who helped me with my colors was amazing. The customer service of the front desk is lacking and needs training to the point I was ready to walk. Abrasive. Everything was a question. Is that even a Dunn Edward color!? To move forward with my $60 a gallon transaction was a hard pill to swallow, but it’s the last one we need. My husband has been cringing to go back and now I get it. They don’t keep your paint on file with a phone number lookup like Home Depot. That would be helpful. And they have a different return policy than other shops. I hope management the best. It’s a good resource in the community and I know hiring is tough."
"Just moved to Tucson. Giving this review based on 3 experiences with the store in the past 2 weeks. EXPERIENCE #1. Came in for a sample fan since I am doing 3 homes and need multiple colors. Waited for 10 minutes without being greeted while employee wrote paint color numbers on sticky notes and directed elderly lady to go find them herself. When it was my turn, same employee said they had no fans, sorry. I turned to leave, but ended up helping the elderly customer find all of her chips…while the employee chatted on the phone with another employee at a different store and complained about upcoming audit EXPERIENCE #2. Found a quart of ceiling paint in one of the houses we’re redoing. I called DE to have them mix up a new quart so I could do some touch ups. Employee told me it didn’t come in quarts. Strange, since I was holding one in my hand. Nope, only gallons, she said, did I want it or not? I placed the order. EXPERIENCE #3. Walked in to pick up order. Another employee helped me, but the phone employee heard it was my order and walked across the store to tell me it has never and will never come in quarts. OKAYYYYY. (Apparently it is very important for this woman to be right.) I grabbed a brush, paid and asked for a paint can opener. Guess what, the PAINT STORE DOESN’T HAVE ANY. I said to the guy helping me, “Wow! That’s hard to believe. Seems like it should be something pretty standard here. “ From across the room, the phone employee says, “We can’t give everything away!” I am sitting in the parking lot filling out this review. I will share it with all of my neighbors and all of the clients whose homes I USED to have painted with this brand. I had been forewarned about this Oro Valley store, but didn’t listen. Don’t make my mistake."
