"I’m what is known in Arizona as a “snowbird”. I’ve lived my whole life in North Dakota, but have grown weary of long, cold winters there. My wife and I now have a home in Laveen, which we’ve owned since 2012. We retired in 2021 and are in our third full winter here. My regular dentist is in ND, but a tooth I knew probably needed to come out started hurting me here in AZ before Christmas. I knew it couldn’t wait until going back north, so I needed a recommendation for a top-notch dentist who could deal with the tooth. I did what we always do whenever we need opinions of any kind: we put out an inquiry on the Laveen News Facebook page. Responses were quick, and there were several enthusiastic recommendations for Dr. Evans at Laveen Smiles, only a mile away from us. I went the next day to schedule an appointment, and was greeted by a friendly receptionist whose family lives in North Dakota! She apologized and told me Dr. Evans was out until after the holidays. Then gave me printed information of other places I could call if I needed help right away. I told her I’d heard so many good things about Laveen Smiles that I’d rather wait for Dr. Evans. I scheduled an appointment for early January and got through the holidays by being careful and taking lots of Advil! Yesterday I went for my appointment. After numerous X-rays taken by a very courteous dental assistant I saw Dr. Evans. I found out that he is the only private practice dentist in Laveen, and he thanked me for choosing his office. I told him about the problem with my tooth. He examined me and agreed that it had to come out. I asked if I needed to come back another day, but he said he could take care of it then. So 10-15 minutes later I was numbed up and about 5 minutes after that, the tooth was gone! I felt no pain the entire visit and was soon on my way (within an hour after I walked in!) The frosting in the cake was he only charged me for a tooth extraction; the “new patient” exam fee and X-rays were included. It was a very reasonable fee and I was pleased. Dr. Evans and Laveen Smiles were everything I was told by the folks in Laveen, and I highly recommend them."

"Dr Evans is a wonderful dentist. As someone who has anxiety going to the dentist he always makes me feel comfortable and explains what he is doing. Today I had to have a tooth extracted and I was so surprised how quick he was able to perform the procedure. Always professional and caring with his patients. "Today was my initial appointment with Dr. Evans and I am so pleased with my experience. I have already called family to make their appointments! Every staff member I had contact with was professional and so kind. Dr. Evans is very personable and explains everything he is doing and why he is suggesting the treatment plan for you. He doesn’t try and make you in some in for several appointments, they try and do the work all in one day. The billing is explained and fair. I’m so excited that I believe I have found my forever dentist!"
