OMG Nails & Spa

"Today was a girls day dedicated to a full day with my daughter doing all the fun things. We decided to look for a place to get our nails done to start the day and we came across OMG, Nails and Spa. Most of the reviews were great but there were quite a few regarding price so I was a little iffy on going there but we gave it a try because again most of the reviews were great. I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away, asked what we were looking for even when we told them we were walk-ins they made some room for us, gave us an opportunity to look over some colors, and we were told to wait a few minutes while some of their nail techs were just arriving to work for the day. My daughter and I were both greeted and smiled at as both nail techs sat down and waved us over to start our nails. My nail tech Ms. T was phenomenal from the get-go. Not only did she listen to the design and style that I would like she took the time to chat with me while she was setting everything up and made me feel comfortable. It had definitely been a while since I had my nails done lol. Through the entire process, she held up good conversation. I talked with the nail tech next to her along with another woman getting her nails done while I noticed my daughter nearby also talking to her tech and seeming to enjoy yourself. The location was bright, clean, and there were so many different colors of nail polish. It was wonderful, but was definitely hard to make a color choice. Ms. T was fast, but never made me feel rushed and my nails came out perfect. I’d go as far as saying, hands-down the best job I’ve ever had done at any salon. My daughter’s nail tech’s name was Paul. She also said it was very easy to talk to him, and her nails came out great as well. We both left pleased with the results..We were also given punchcards with their names if we choose to come back to set an appointment. The punchcard gives you a stamp each pedicure. Once 10 pedicures are reached you get you a free basic one. The only reason I didn’t leave five stars did come down to the price. For two pretty basic sets with minimal color and shape the total came to $150. I did receive a discount to around $140 for paying cash which I appreciated , but I felt the price was still pretty high. I am however willing to pay a bit more for great quality and the work was well done. I don’t think I’d come as often for that price, but for special occasions I’d definitely book more appointments with Ms T and Paul."

"Hi!! First off I just want to say that I have visited omg nails since it’s opening. I love the ambience. But sometimes it can feel a little cold with the customer service. But nonetheless I still visit. I am from out of state now and it is usually my second stop. It can get quite busy and at that time you begin to feel like you’re in an assembly line and if that happens just know your work won’t be quality but I still visit. Sometimes the techs think they know better and will sneakily cut your toe nails when you’ve asked them not to but that’s fine you just won’t get a tip. I said all that to really say this a month ago I was there and I got a dipped set it was my first time the reason why was because my daughter who went days before got a dipped set and it looked nice. Well it’s been over a month my dipped set only lasted a week but I’m ok with that because my thumb didn’t look right but I didn’t think anything of it til I talked with my daughter and she showed me her thumb it was fully infected. I am not saying this to bash this business but I want it to be known because I didn’t know. LADIES WHEN YOU GET A DIPPED SET ALWAYS BE SURE THAT THEY ARE NOT DIPPING YOUR NAIL DIRECTLY IN TO THE CONTAINER FROM THE SHELF ALWAYS BE SURE THAT THEY PLACE IT IN ITS CONTAINER JUST FOR YOU AND DIP YOUR NAIL AND THEB DISCARD OF THE POWDER.IF THEY ARE NOT DOING THIS IT IS A VIOLATION OF THE STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT BECAUSE IT CAN LEAD TO INFECTION LIKE ME AND MY DAUGHTER HAVE. Again this is not to bash the business and I know I will go back and in fact when I let them know of course they said they have never had an issue like this and that’s fine maybe so, I did ask for reimbursement for mine and for my daughters session not even the whole amount just for the dipped nails because there had to be some accountability and the obliged while telling me again they’ve never had this issue. Ladies be careful be informed and make sure your health is a priority in the nail shops."
