"I had a crown done here a few years ago when it was still Suncoast Dental; it came off this week. Came back to what is now Westwind Dental and had it re-cemented (by the dental assistant); well it came off again two days later. Went to another office where the dentist took her time, listened to my concerns and I am totally satisfied. RUN from this office."

"This place is a joke! I was told I had a crack in my crown and it needed to be replaced. My insurance has a 12 month waiting period for major services so I told them I would wait 4 months until insurance would cover their portion instead of having to pay the whole thing out of pocket. The guy that I was working with kept insisting that I needed to get it taken care of before the crown broke in half. We negotiated, and he claims he got approval from the dentist, and we agreed on an amount to get the crown replaced. I went in for the appt and paid the agreed amount. Now they are billing me for the entire amount because of course insurance denied the claim since it was in the 12 month waiting period. I don't appreciate their tactics to get people in the door for procedures whether insurance covers them or not. I will NOT be returning to this office in the future and I filed a grievance with the insurance company just to make me feel better."

"Just like everyone else, I was a customer of Suncoast dental for many years. New ownership came as an unpleasant surprise. Most of the front office staff was rude and dismissive. They now have terrible hours regarding scheduling routine cleanings. I went back SEVERAL times to get a crown placed and they could not get it right. Find a different dentist if you can… I switched to a different corporate dental company in the valley who accommodates work schedules, has weekend appointments, in-house payment plans, (and financing if you like paying interest on your teeth), friendly staff, and great dentists. Overall, if westwind reads its reviews, corporate dentistry doesn’t have to be a train wreck if you prioritize your customers experience. You’re not selling clothes, you’re doing dental work and your patients would like to feel like they can trust you and won’t be harmed."

"Went to suncoast for years without issue. When Westwind took over the location they started frequently texting and calling for appointments. They made an appointment for me without talking to me - when I received the confirmation I called and they said the dentist recommended a night guard or something (I had never been to or talked to anyone since they took over) so i canceled appt and figured it was a mix up. When i was due for a cleaning they told me they took the same insurance (2x over phone) and the same dentists worked there. Went for a routine cleaning and they tried to charge me > $200 and said they didn't take my insurance. Stay away! Looking back i think they made the 1st appt assuming i would come in and hopefully sell me that guard. I will be going elsewhere"
