"Had an appointment with Hiyam yesterday and am thrilled with the results. She was friendly, listened, and took her time. I love my haircut! Honestly, this is the second time I was there and the first time was not a great experience (I don’t think that stylist works there any longer) but my experience with Hiyam made up for the first time. Thank you so much!!"
"I’m honestly a little frustrated as I plan things ahead of time. Due to just unfortunate circumstances with my hair appointment getting canceled multiple times for a haircut with my regular stylist, I had to book a last minute haircut with a different salon. The place I went to had chopped off more than I requested with only less than two weeks of me leaving on vacation. I’ve never had hair extensions so my knowledge of price, installation, etc is very limited so that part is my bad as I scrambled to find quick solutions online. A lot of the places were out of my budget or needed a consultation and a week to purchase hair which made me lose hope as I didn’t have the luxury of open availability, but I decided to keep looking and found this place. They had an opening for Friday, walk ins welcome, advertising same day service. There was a cancellation fee of 87 which made me hesitate to make the appointment but I did not want to lose the spot so I booked it. Where there was a “send a message” option on their site, since this was after hours I decided to utilize this to explain the unfortunate situation hoping that they can message me back confirming this can be done. I didn’t receive anything back except a message of confirmation of my appointment. I’m thinking it’s all good and I was lucky to find a place so last minute with a whopping price of $175 and for two hours. And then I head over the day of. I get sit down and they tell me that it takes a week to purchase and have the hair shipped which I understand due to the customization. I am dumbfounded as I leave for my trip in 4 days in which three of the days I work. I was surprised that this was not mentioned prior and they had mentioned they were going to call me the day before and didn’t. My hair is naturally black so I was hoping that they had some readily available which they had to purchase from the store. However, the price of the hair was not included in the price of the installation. Costing nearly $1000. I may not be happy with my current length, but I was not about to pay that price and more for a 6-8 week duration just to have my hair be longer on vacation. While it was nice for them to offer other services to my hair, I was just ready to go home from the disappointment, embarrassment, and shock of it all. There needs to be more transparency on their website or when booking regarding these services and more due diligence of contacting customers."
"Went to Hair House for a wash, blow dry style and was not disappointed! The environment is very welcoming and clean! The stylist are very friend and attentive, 10/10 recommend for all your hair needs!"
"I just moved to the area and was googling places to get a blow out for a wedding I was going to later on that day. I came in and they were fairly busy which is good to see as a new client walking in. My hair stylist Jasmine was nice but not as attentive to me as a paying customer. I wasn’t offered a beverage or water like the lady was next to me and I guess they don’t have a look book where you can choose what style you would like with a hot tool after getting a blow out. She seemed very much in a hurry the whole time and just didn’t seem present with me. I will say I do appreciate her taking time to do a half up half down like I had wanted but sadly after I left all of my curls fell out within an HOUR of getting my hair done and I found myself having to redo majority of them minutes before leaving for the wedding causing us to run behind. Needless to say I’m really disappointed with my experience and results and I don’t think I’ll be going back there again."
"I must say that I have never, until now, left a bad review anywhere. I will not mention names, because its not polite, but I received the worst service I've ever received in my life. I have also never cried after getting my hair done until today. I clearly said what I wanted and I have nothing close to what I asked for. I have been to this place a couple times and I loved my previous stylist, never had any issues and left with perfectly blonde hair. Little did I know that she doesn’t work there anymore but also nobody ever told me?? But anyways my appointments got cancelled 3 times because I guess they are just unprofessional when it comes to making appointments. The day of my appointment they changed the time from 11am to 10:30am without even telling me? I already should have sensed that there was something up. When I asked for a root touch up (bleach) and a toner to match my CURRENT color, they obviously didn’t know what they were doing. I had to get toned twice and left as half a brunette, nothing is matching my extensions anymore and instead of being honest and apologizing, they try to gaslight you into coming back. Because soon as I said I’m not happy all they said was “We can have someone fix that if you would like” Obviously she new that it was awful and definitely not what i wanted, just by the double take and comment. Anyways if I had been charged a discount salon price then I would have figured that's just what you get. Well, the price set in my confirmation email was $105. After I told them I’m not happy I don’t like it and that’s absolutely not what I came for, they definitely didn’t care about it at all, all they cared about is rescheduling me into come back. Then trying to charge me $150 for 3 extra bowls of toner? Why do i have to pay more if the stylist doesn’t know what she was doing? All that and I still had to blow dry my hair by myself because apparently nobody had time to do so. That place is definitely a scam and I would never ever recommend this salon to anyone else. I will 100% never be going there again! But if your looking for an semi-upscale salon that gives you that Great Clips fresh out of cosmetology school service......Then this is the place for you !!!"
