"My husband and I have been going here for 3 years now…we loved it to start, but the last year has been ridiculous. A huge red flag is they cannot keep hygienists. I’ve never seen the same one. Every appointment we make is rescheduled and they keep telling us they can’t reschedule us for another 7 months. So we’d miss out on our benefits. Do not waste your time here. I will say the previous hygienists have been lovely and I really enjoyed the dentist. It’s a shame, but also maybe inform your patients."
"Will never step foot in this “dentist office” again. I have a broken tooth and a slightly exposed nerve. It has been causing me extreme pain. I got online and looked into emergency dentist. This office came up, I called, and I was able to make an appointment for a few days later. While making my appointment I made the receptionist aware that I had already had an X-ray and Exam done and knew I needed a SURGICAL EXTRACTION. She asked a few question about the tooth’s condition and the location, I explained this very clearly and informed her that I was on a tight budget. She explained the pricing and procedure. I was astonished by the low prices and she assured me they could get it done day of the appointment. I scheduled off for work and made my boss aware I was having a tooth extracted. Come today, the day of my appointment, I arrived at the office right on time. I filled out new patient paperwork and was seen immediately for an “exam” and X-ray. When it was completed the dentist came into the room. He told me they would be referring me to a facility that could remove the tooth better than he could. Apparently the roots in my molar are “too” deep (every molar on the planet has deep roots. Not to mention the difference between a surgical and a simple extraction is the process of cutting the gums to gain access to the tooth so if he’s doing this what makes my deep root an issue?) I was confused because when I made my appointment the location of the tooth was made very clear and typically a tooth in this location needs a surgical extraction! So may be I was just given the Impression that they would do this, and I was mistaken.. Fully willing to accept this I began to leave.. I left the exam room and made my payment for the X-ray. As I making my payment I’m mentioning to the receptionist that I was disappointed I couldn’t have this done today and I explained to her the impression I was given over the phone. Before she could respond, a second receptionist behind her chimes in and explains that she was the person I spoke with. Her attitude was ATROCIOUS. She began to go a condescending, bad attitude filled rant. I was so shocked and offended. I could barely respond. I left and went to the facility they referred me to. I realize that I was scammed at this point, when I arrived and the receptionist said they could have done the X-ray for the same cost. So this office got me to come in for an X-ray fully knowing they did not do surgical extractions and could have just told me that over the phone. But they wouldn’t have made any money am I right? Terrible experience and definitely insightful."
"I needed a second opinion and Dr. Alvarez and dental assistant Chastity put my mind at ease. I was very worried that something was wrong, but after x-rays and a thorough exam I was assured all is well, but if needed, they were there to help. Everyone at the office was kind and patient and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you for getting me in to be seen quickly."
"This was my first visit to Dr. Alvarez’s office. I am fairly new to Tucson and needed to find a dentist near me. Dr. Alvarez had good online reviews and he accepted my insurance. Anna was my hygienist and I appreciated her attention to detail with my teeth cleaning. She also was gentle and friendly which put me at ease. I recommend Dr. Alvarez to anyone looking for a good dentist."
"I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Alvarez’s office. First they were sure to look up my Dental discount plan and saved me a lot of money (they do offer a savings plan of their own as well). Then they got me in quickly and what I appreciated most was that he only did the work that needed to be done which saved me even more money. It was a pleasant and pain-free experience. I really recommend Dr Alvarez and his staff to everyone looking for a great dental experience!"
