"They were so efficient at getting me my rental car! Best experience I’ve had with a rental car company ever!"
"Chris seriously saved us with his expertise and help! My family’s car broke down and we desperately needed to rent a car to get home. He went so far above and beyond to help us out! Highly recommend- we’ll definitely know who to turn to if we ever need help like this again! He wasn’t bothered at all by all my questions and multiple phone calls. He was outstanding!"
"Avoid this location at all costs! The 2.3 star rating is much too high! Unfortunately, I had to exchange a rental car at this location (pick up and drop off was LAS). The people at the front desk were impossible to find - took a half hour of wandering around the parking lot. Then, instead of simply exchanging the car using the same LAS -> LAS rental agreement (which is what should have happened according to Avis customer service), they created 2 one-way trips LAS -> SGU and SGU -> LAS. Each had a one-way charge of $300, so they over-charged me by $600. Because this location is an Avis affiliate, Avis corporate & customer service did not have the ability to refund me - this location has been unresponsive for a month now."
"As I came to return my rental there was immediately an attitude problem at the counter when I asked for a receipt. She said it would be a few minutes to get it. I told her I have to have a paper receipt for expense reports. During the return process she noticed it was a different car than the one I left with. I told her I had to exchange the car out of state due to a flat tire with no adequate spare. She then tried to charge me $500 for not returning the same car! I purchased FULL insurance and roadside assistance, so there should have been no question whatsoever. I refused to pay and had to call a manager at a different location. The manager also had an attitude and said, “It is a brand new car!” As if there has NEVER been a problem with a new vehicle in the history of mankind! I rent vehicles for six months out of the year for my job, I have never had such horrible attitude problems, even in downtown LA where they don’t even trust their own mothers! The only reason it is not one star is because after I explained how much business my company does with Avis/Budget around the country, the attitudes completely changed and they were surprisingly nice. Needless to say I will absolutely NEVER rent from Avis/Budget at ANY St. George location again!"
"It has been a nightmare!! We rented a car in Las Vegas to drive to St. George Utah. On the way the car started making noises we pulled over a few times to look things over but couldn't see anything so we decided we would go directly to Avis in St. George in the morning. As we were at this point closer to St George. The closer we got the louder the noise. We went to Avis the next morning to be told he had no cars to try the Airport location. After multiple calls and NO answer we called Avis customer service and was transferred to roadside assistance #1. She tried to call the airport location for us and also No answer? She advised she saw no cars in the system in Cedar City Utah or both St. George Utah locations. She advised Salt Lake City 4 hrs away or Las Vegas Nevada 113 miles away almost 2 hrs was our options I mentioned the car didn't seem safe to drive that far. As we have been driving it it seems louder as time goes by. This morning we took it to a mechanic and was advised it may be a wheel bearing going or the transmission going. He did not recommend going at a high speed. We called Avis roadside assistance again call #2 we advised Avis what we learned and our concerns then was told to call the airport location again after multiple times no one answered. So we drove out to the Airport location and I asked to trade automobiles because there was something wrong with this car also that we took it to a mechanic and we have called roadside assistance twice The agent said she has had no calls?? Said she has no cars currently however they would be getting two cars back at 7:00 pm. She gave me the number and told me to call I advised when I call there is No answer but she said here is the number and it was the same. As we were leaving the airport we called roadside assistance call #3 explained our situation and that the agent at the Avis counter in the airport said they expected cars back at 7:00pm and she had received no calls from them (roadside assistance) I advised I didn't want to be charged extra for taking the car back to Las Vegas and I was concerned we wouldn't get a car. At this time the agent could hear our concern with the car because we started to drive back and we had the phone on speaker she thought it sounded like an airplane taxying the runway. It was the car it's getting louder We had to pull over so she could hear us speak. She tried to call the airport location and No one answered after I gave her the phone number I just received. She advised calling back around 7 to roadside assistance so we could try to get a car. After trying to reach Avis by phone at 6:40 pm again no answer we drove the car out to the airport again. Only to go inside and see the agent had left for the day. I called Avis Roadside Assistance for the 4th time and was upset it feels like our saftey is not a concern. I noticed the agent from the St. George city location coming in so I'm went in and was told NO he had no cars for us!! Roadside assistance agreed that there aren't even cars in Las Vegas tonight. And to call back tomorrow........After driving back to the hotel we decided we are done with Avis. After 28 years as a preferred member we realized it means nothing. I'm hoping to get my husband's company to also drop Avis as it no longer helps their customers. Ok and by the way I called the phone number standing in front of the desk when I returned tonight and it rang and rang they are just ignoring the phone."
