"I had a wonderful experience today. They were nice, quick and the conversation was enjoyable and relatable. I rent once or twice a year and usually go with other companies cause i hear horror stories. Today i had exceptional service, went above and beyond to make it happen for me today! I can’t remember the Gentleman’s name because i was on very little sleep but he was originally from out of state and now lives in st george and I can’t thank you enough for the great service and zero problems with the car."
"AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!!! Location does not work any standard hours. They are not open during the hours stated in the Hertz website even if if you have a reservation. We had a complete nightmare renting from this branch. They closed early. No notice. No call. No concern for their customers. Even Hertz customer service couldn’t understand why they were closed. Local management avoided internal calls from Hertz national customer service. We ended up having to get a ride to Las Vegas 120 miles away to pick up our car!!!! The behavior of the management at the SGU airport branch is completely unprofessional and a stain on the Hertz brand."
"Sam exemplifies great customer service and how to make things right when plans don't go as expected. I had rented a car from the other Hertz location in St. George, only to find the attendant left early and I had no car. I called up the airport location, explained the situation, and Sam took care of me. When I showed up, he apologized for the inconvenience, and upgraded me several car classes from what I had reserved, even stepping away from another customer briefly to hand me my keys. I have top status with Hertz and rarely receive this level of service. Because of this experience, I will continue to use the airport location whenever I need to rent in town."
"Had a car for one hour last week, drove 33 miles (car: Rogue 37mpg hwy) and was charged 4 gallons on a refuel. 8mpg calculation? Please. Corporate Hertz refuses to help because I don’t have documentation, except that it clearly states on receipt that I drove 33 miles, but also claiming that the tank was left 3/4 full. I’m being charged for someone else’s 3 gallons at $10/gallon. I certainly owe a $10 refuel charge, but not $40. Hertz standing by its policies rather than using logic and taking care of a loyal and longstanding customer. The local hertz hasn’t returned my voicemail to address the situation. I was initially very pleased with the rental because they delivered my car to the FBO (allowing me easy pickup and drop from general aviation area), but this feels dishonest. I rent from hertz nationwide a lot (since 2010…and recently 15 of 30 days during a March/April stretch this year) and yet still being treated with high skepticism rather than simply doing the logical and right thing. Good luck if you’re a one-off customer. Not asking for anything but fair. I’ve tried to use proper channels, but being ignored. Next step is taking business elsewhere."
"DO NOT ever rent from hertz including this location! Get ready for this long nightmare of a story. We prepaid for our car over a week in advance. It was around $300. We showed up at 3:00 for the car. We had paid for the car via our PayPal credit card. But apparently hertz still thinks it’s 2000 and when we got there at 3:00 for the car, the employee told us we needed a physical card in order to get the car. PayPal doesn’t come with a physical card only a digital one. Hertz did not tell us we needed a physical card in order to pick up the car. The employee did absolutely nothing to help us but said call a customer service number to get it switched to a physical credit card. We called the number and we’re on hold for 45 minutes before anyone even answered! Rosie eventually picked up and said “sure! What’s the card you’d like to switch it to?” Gave her the new card. And then she said “ok I canceled the reservation, goodbye!” WHAT?! Uh Rosie, we still need a car! She said they didn’t have any cars for us but the employee right there was saying they had a Camry waiting for us. But for some reason, Rosie on the phone said it wouldn’t work with no explanation. The employee tried making us a new reservation and they wanted to charge us over $1000! We escalated the call to a manager. Again, on hold for an hour before they HUNG UP on us!! Meanwhile the employee said he “tried again” and was able to get our price down to $400-something. Whatever.... Then we found out, after all of this, they charged us for being “late” the extra hour! Are you serious hertz?! We say screw it and just take the car. Of course he didn’t do a walk around with us. The next day we’re getting ready to leave for our road trip. Guess what? The skid plate on the front of the car is falling off. So we can’t leave until it’s fixed and of course I can’t get ahold of anyone from hertz. So we have to fix it and now again are delayed from our trip even more, because of hertz. At this point not only do we feel we deserve a refund, but we will never use hertz again no matter how much of a better deal they may offer. It’s not worth it."
