"We enjoy & welcome new restaurants but my husband & I agree this new business missed the mark. Interesting that it's parent company from what we were told is Anaya's. The menu is slim of options, no chimis & mostly their version of a typical Mexican dish. The usually complimentary chips & salsa is available for purchase with the caveat that the salsa is made tableside. Prices are slightly higher with most condiments an additional charge. My husband ordered the "su casa Grande Burrito" w/ steak. I ordered Nachos w/ Steak (an appetizer) with the intention of sharing them with him. The steak in both dishes was tough & chewy w/ grizzle. The Nachos were served in what one might call a dinner sized salad or soup bowl & not porportioned to adequately share. Nachos start at $9.95 with additional items such as meat, guacamole, Jalapeños and or sour cream an additional charge. My husband's burrito had meat, rice & beans rolled into it & covered lightly w/ a sauce making it slightly soggy. When I mentioned my steak was tough & chewy I was offered something else but I declined. First impressions are huge. We were disappointed but you may enjoy it."
"At each Mexican style restaurant I eat at, I discover each has it's own style of cooking and what is offered. Last night we dined at Su Casa Grande Mexican Grill. It's a large place with a dining area and large bar area. It was decorated very nicely and clean, there is a large window where you can see the prep area. Our waiter was patient and informative. Most of the food is on an ala carte area. Combination dinners were few. Interesting thing was no chips and salsa were given. Maybe it's their style which was a bit of a surprise. My burrito grande did not come with beans and rice which was a separate ala carte item. Overall, four stars since they are new. Looking for more combos and some chips though!"
"Tbh, I wish I could give this restaurant 3.5 stars, but I’m erring on the side of generosity for a newly opened restaurant. The place is clean and has been spruced up from when it was Boston’s with new chairs and decor. Lots of seating with a small bar. The lunch crowd was sparse, and we were seated promptly. Our server was attentive but left out a few salient details, and didn’t really guide us which one would expect at a new restaurant. We ordered the trio dip with chips for $12.99; it came with a bean dip, a queso dip, and guacamole and we were dismayed to discover that salsa was NOT included. In fact, in order to get any salsa, according to our server, we have to have it made at the table. Our server didn’t sound too keen on making the salsa, so we ordered pico de gallo and Tapatio. The trio and pico were a nice idea, but not very flavorful, so we were thankful for the Tapatio. One of my friends ordered mild chicken wings. They came wish fresh cucumbers and were topped with tomato sauce. Very unflavored tomato sauce. I mean, mild shouldn’t mean no taste, right? My other friend ordered Albondigas Soup and he said it was very good with a nice balance of meatballs and broth. I ordered the Sopa de Polla and it tasted good but needed a little help from my friend, Tapatio! The question is always, would we go back, and the answer is sure, because we should give new places a little grace. All in all, they need to work on their flavor profiles and serving experience, but we will go again for dinner and margaritas and review our experience."
"On there behalf it was there very first day open to customers. Now we spent $138. Okay the asada as you can see from the picture that is a $22.00 plate. Who would pay 22 dollars for that plate? We did which is why I'm posting about it. Thats not my to go bag that's the actual plate that cost 22$'s. Okay now next to that you have a $10.00 bean and cheese Burrito can u see the tortilla no love no thought no trying n by the way no flavor sorry.. so we got 4 pastor tacos, 1 fish taco ,asada plate , mole, bean n cheese Burrito, and an apple bread pudding, the maple 3 leches n 2 chocolate flans. The only thing u might get again is the apple bread pudibg n chocolate flans. Very extremely disappointed. 1 star is too many. They put a lot of time n effort in the wording of the menu they need to put that effort in the flavor lime there menu says."
