"As a customer the deli people here are amazing they are all very kind and good at their job except for Tanner... Tanner is too good at his job and in dire need of promotion, truly upper management material."
"We've been shopping at this Safeway for years and it's the typical store with mediocre to average service. That was until my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting liquor dept manager Jason Dollins. What a polite, professional and courteous gentleman. It was so refreshing to deal with an experienced pro who actually knows about the products in his area. He worked with us to find several amazing wines that worked perfectly for our dinner party. It was like having our own personal sommelier! So knowledgeable and not at all pushy. He listened to our likes and dislikes and made marvelous recommendations. Not at all what we expected from Safeway and a very pleasant surprise. Mr. Dollins is our go-to wine pro now and we look forward to seeing him on our next visit to the store."
"Watchout buying bagged produce. l bought 5 lb bagged potatoes three times now, and in each bag, some are badly cut many unusable because of being green when peeled. The same goes for apples, A lot are soft and bruised. C'mon, Albertsons/Safeway, your buyers are professional. You know this is going on."
"We've been loyal customers of Safeway for nearly a decade (yes, we know there was that like name-change blip), and it's high time I share why this store has become such an integral part of our lives in Tucson as evidenced by two simple but routine interactions in the last month. These times it was Safeway's bakery reinforced why it's a go-to for our celebrations - be it cupcakes for our kids' parties or grabbing those last-minute donuts for our son's class - seriously, the gentleman there got us 3 dozen in less than an hour (talk about helping a dad save the day). Every time we walk in, I am met with employees who are not just helpful but genuinely enthusiastic about assisting. Their service isn't just professional; it’s personal. They’ve seen our family grow and have been part of our community's fabric since we made Tucson our home. It's these consistent, positive experiences that make Safeway stand out. For all of us that often receive compliments for the great meals and gatherings hosted, it is easy to bask in the appreciation, the truth is Safeway deserves a huge part of the credit. Whether it's the fresh ingredients for our home-cooked meals or the delightful baked goods that add a special touch to our celebrations, Safeway has been there for us every single time. In our fast-paced lives, we sometimes overlook the familiar faces and places we encounter regularly. But as I reflect, I realize how much Safeway has contributed to our life's many moments. It’s more than just a store; it’s a cornerstone of our community. Thank you, Safeway, for being consistently amazing. Your contribution to our family’s happy moments is deeply appreciated, and I look forward to many more years of the same wonderful service and quality. You will of course see us in line and rarely using those self-checkout lanes! :)"
"The chunky blond hair lady emoloyee was very rude today. At 12:25 p.m. There was a fight outside of the store and she yells at us for standing out front of the store waiting for our uber who was pulling up. Just because you can't contain your employee attacking a person who was stealing doesn't mean you have to yell at bystanders who were obviously minding their own buisness. We weren't recording the fight nor saying anything. Treat you guests with kindness."
