"Although the store is clean and bright, it's lustre is dimmed by two things. Firstly, if you don't get to the store when it opens on any given Wednesday, it will probably be out of its advertised specials. Secondly, watch the tally closely as it is rare that some sale item is not rung up with the higher original price. I once contacted corporate about the former and the manager called me, requesting that I contact him directly the next time I had a concern.. Months later, I tried but was put on interminable hold and then told I would have to leave a message. It was never returned. Go to corporate as they make things improve."
"I can't stand the digital discounts.I have scanned the bar codes as directed.Many times the discount is not deducted and I let it go.If the discount is worth my while I go to the service desk and they make it right."
"I was recently at the Safeway on Continental and was checking out and the prices shown on the screen were incorrect. I tried to get the check out clerk's attention but she kept ignoring me. I walked over to her and lightly tapped her and she turned on me and in a nasty tone told me not to touch her. I told her as nicely as I could that I was trying to get her attention because she didn't hear me. Instead of assisting me, she turned her back on me and walked away. I was so angry that I left the food there and walked out of the store. Some of Safeways employees need to work on their customer skills."
"I want to give kudos to Veronica in the bakery. Back in February I was celebrating a little girl birthday and a 40th, but no one wanted a lot of cake. Not only did Veronica offer some fabulous ideas, she executed those ideas in a way that pleased my whole family. She was a joy to work with and a talented decorator as well.
