"What a surprising experience!! We took a pitstop on our way to Tucson to try YS Madi’s chicken shwarma. And WOW!! It’s like an explosion of flavors in the mouth!! The chicken is so tasty we ordered a second time on our way out, and one more time on the way back from Tucson!! The waiter is also a gentleman and is extremely kind and respectful!! We definitely, absolutely, highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for halal Mediterranean food!!!!!!!!"

"I've picked up orders from here about four or five times but I won't buy from here again. The place doesn't look clean but the times I've ordered from here I've enjoyed the food. They forgot my vegetable rice Biryani plate order and I didn't find out until I got home. I called and they said to come back tomorrow. This is what I got when I went, old mushy wet rice that tasted awful because they added so much spices to mask that it's probably going bad! This is why other reviews said that they got food poisoning from eating here! This is really terrible that they would serve this type of food to paying customers. I won't ever go back."

"The food is excellent but the price on the menu was not honored. Excellent Yemenese food! I got the Chicken Shawarma with falafel and Lamb Mandi. Much enjoyed the shitsu, yogurt, tomato sauce, and in general, the food was stellar. However, the Lamb Mandi was listed on the menu as under $16 and I was up-charged to nearly $20 (without tip). Upon asking why the price did not match the menu, I was told lamb is more expensive. While that may be true, the menu should reflect the actual price of the item. To overcharge from a listed price is unethical because that is not honest service. I should have been told the actual price before ordering, if it was different than what was listed on the menu."

"Decided to try this restaurant for the first time tonight and ordered the chicken mandi. I was greeted with this monster platter! The chicken was tender and moist and falling off the bone with every tiny movement. Wonderfully seasoned and served with a massive pile of fresh rice. The yogurt sauce was good but the green sauce (some kind of jalapeño chutney?) was fantastic and had a very solid kick to it. I will definitely have to try everything else!"

"YS Mandi was the first Mediterranean cuisine tryout for me and the chicken mandi was just great. The price is reasonable (around 13$ with taxes) and tastes good. It's quite near to the east side of ASU on university drive and easily accessible. I would personally prefer the chicken mandi over here. May 2019 I recently tried the goat Mandi. The flavour is as good as chicken Mandi, although the goat is not fried. Its nothing to complain about. So, give it a try :)"
