Reviews of It's A Divine Bakery
"My family and I were very excited to come here, but we were let down. The shop is cute and pastries look good in the case but the almond croissant wasn’t even almond, it had a cinnamon filling and was fairly dry. The worst part was trying to order drinks off their menu. The woman working said an iced latte didn’t exist and gave us cold brew instead (I was a barista for 5 years, iced lattes exist) and did not make our other drink correctly. Other unnecessary snide comments were made. Unfortunately we will not be returning here."
"What a quaint bakery! Their pastries were light as air, with puffed pastry! Their pasta section is amazing, with various infused pastas. They have a sizeable collection of etched rolling pins. The outdoor patio is charming. A perfect way to spend the morning with coffee and pastry!"
"We were looking for a bakery stop after a nice morning hike. Thought this would fit the bill. First impressions were that there was a lot of tasty looking items here. But after a couple of questions that the owner did not answer in a straightforward way, I felt like we were imposing. My wife had a pain au chocolat which she said was delicious. After a weird run around about cheese cake (there weren't labels on the product in one case, so I had questions), including some comment about 'you just walked by the Black Forest (I think) cakes there', I finally got my cheesecake. It was good. Our granddaughter asked for a pretzel which was warmed in the microwave. The owner confirmed that we were eating it here. We ate outside and could tell our granddaughter wasn't happy with the pretzel. I tried it and it was the driest pretzel I've had. We went back inside to get her something else and I commented that the pretzel was very dry. The owner said 'that's the way Bavarian pretzels are. We dip ours in melted butter'. WHAT? You dip yours in melted butter but send customers out the door with a dry, warm pretzel? How about you offer melted butter? Or maybe tell customers that you might want to take it home and melt some butter to help the dough wad slide down! I appreciate fresh made pastries. I'm sure they work hard to make their product. We all work hard, but to spend almost $30 on this snack was unsatisfying. After reading her replies to other complaints I'm sure I'll get a snarky comment in return, but just know that you have been warned. I'm not typically a complainer, but when I pay good money for rude service and, in my opinion, an inferior product, I must say something."
"as soon as you walk in.... it smells amazing!!!! very cute and inviting, everything is neatly displayed according to season (currently Easter so the pastels and bunnies were in attendance). the owner is friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing. THE CHERRY BLOSSOM LATTE WAS INCREDIBLE! pastries were perfectly laminated and baked and my favorite has to be the almond croissant. all around wonderful and quaint establishment with quality, made from scratch goods. Need more places like this!!!!! Can't wait to come back!!!!!"
"Cute find up in Cave Creek. The entire place is filled with fresh pastries and breads. They have a wide assortment of food items and other goodies from all over European which was cool. The cookies and strudels smelled amazing. We ended up getting some sugar cookies to eat on the drive back and they were great!"
