The Red Light Lounge at the Downtown Clifton 485 South Stone Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701

"It's a chill spot in a beautifully renovated old motel. Local artists have their work displayed for sale in the dining room, and the menu lists simple but elevated food alongside craft cocktail classics and specialties. The food is as good as it seems. Burgers are delicious. Black beans, too, and the fried potatoes are out of this world. The cocktail menu is exciting to read, but the bartender we had seemed more suited to a dive than this place. They didn't seem to grasp that whether a setting is served on ice or just chilled is part of the drink recipe, or that actually measuring parts, vs free pouring, makes a huge difference in the consistency and quality of the drink. Out of four cocktails, three were frankly terrible. So, if you're looking for a burger and a beer, hit this place up. It's worth it. If you're looking for good drinks, there's a few much better places within walking distance."

"10/10! I am always skeptical of a hotel bar, but it was so awesome. You can access the bar from the courtyard or the lobby, it was super cute and had a fun vibe. The bartender was amazing, and the drinks were excellent. My husband went back the next day and ate dinner there, and said it was good as well. If I find myself in Tucson again, I will be back!"

Although the Southern Moon was delightful, differently. As was the Sunset Cooler. Then the bartender promised Tucson's BEST burger. And she wasn't wrong!"

"Very cool diamond in the rough in south Tucson. It’s the bar/lounge of a motel but with a cool eclectic vibe. We went on a Friday and several local artisans and craftsmen had small tables selling their art/crafts. The cocktails were good as was the beer selections. White wine options were great but they were out of a few reds today. The elote corn “ribs” were a delight and the loaded fries great. Will def come back! VictorB"

"There was a time when the idea of fish tacos was “eh” at best then having had Chef Nico’s fish tacos at the Red Light Lounge everything changed. The tacos were perfectly crisp, seasoned to perfection and dreamy. Have had numerous fish tacos since that encounter with Chef Nico’s fish tacos and not one has come even close to what he has created. His entire menu is fresh, innovative takes on classics such as buffalo wings with cotija and a cilantro lime aioli. A decadent and delicious Indian Fry Bread and even salads packed with Southwest flavor. The only regret is having not made it back in yet to try the newly launched breakfast menu. Grab a spicy margarita and some fish tacos next time you’re around and thank us later."
