"The ladies restroom floor in Soft Surroundings was filthy. Also , at the entrance there were two hurricane lamps. They were both covered in filth and the wood frame was broken and falling apart. Very poor impression of this store."

"Spouse made a charge purchase of $270.51. Several days later there were TWO charges on our VISA for $270.51! When my spouse returned to the store after this discrepancy was noted, she was told by an associate this second charge will drop off. After having spent 20+ years working for one of the largest retail companies in the world, this was the wrong answer to my spouse. I contacted the card issuer to dispute this double charge. The card rep confirmed my suspicions the purchase was double charged. IMHO this was an act of dishonesty on the associates part. Will never do business again with this dishonest company. CAVEAT EMPTOR!"

"Soft Surroundings does not stand behind their merchandise. Tried to return a pair of cropped pants that, once washed per tagged instructions, lost 2 inches of length in one leg. They wouldn’t take them back as they have a policy to not take back items once laundered. They don’t stand behind their products. Do not give them your business! Update: Corporate is working to get my refund. That’s called making things right."

"Ordered a dress for my mom for her birthday and decided to pay a little extra for the gift packaging. I didn’t expect too much, but was surprised as to what it turned out to be. The gift box is closed by magnet and expands as you open it, the note to my mom ended up being hand written. It was the first time my mom received something from Soft Surroundings, but the amount of detail in gift packaging, handwritten note, and quality of clothing has her looking through the magazine again."
