Reviews of La Parrilla Suiza
"The food was delicious. I love the green creamy sauce that comes with the chips. Everything was extremely flavorful. They updated their rice since the last time I was here, and it is amazing. I had the lunch special, which was a cheese enchilada and beef taco. Sooooo good."
"I got two of my go-tos to compare to other restaurants, and the chili relleno (as a side dish), and the green chili tamale (as a side dish). I enjoyed the crust on the chili relleno the most of all, it is light and has a slight crunch to it. The tamale was good, but nothing really stood out about it. They both had a generous amount of melted cheese on them, and both had a much stronger amount of heat (not as in room temperature). Half way through my meal my mouth was ablaze. The chips come to the table with 3 salsas, red Xtra hot, green hot, and the chunky is mild. The Cadillac Margarita with tajin was good. I also got a side of rice and beans (this confused my sever), but what I wanted was not offended and this was the only way to get them and that was by side orders. My sever seemed upset with everything I ordered, it was odd and a bit uncomfortable and that is why the 4 stars VS 5."
"It's not often I don't give a great review but this review is for those with Celiac. There is absolutely nothing safe here. My nephew wanted to take us here because his father's side is from Mexico and he said it has really good authentic Mexican food. I love Mexican food, it's so full of flavor. However, this restaurant has nothing gluten free. The staff didn't know what I was even saying but she asked the cooks and they informed her all the corn tortillas are dusted with flour. She did offer for me to have just steak meat but I declined since I figured it would be cross contaminated. My husband and nephew loved the food, though. I got an iced tea, which was very good. The restaurant itself looked very clean, even the lights were clean which is a big deal to me. I hope down the road they recognize the value of having some dishes cater to the gluten free world."
"Great Mexican place in AZ. Really good food. The price is quite a bit so be prepared for that before hand, pretty much everything on the menu is $15 at the lowest. Also, our service was good but they only refilled our drinks once and then we never saw them again, which unfortunately seems to be a trend going on now with restaurants which is a bummer."
"This place is fantastic! It is decorated so well. Had a bar area and a main seating area. Relatively empty on Thursday when I went. Staff was super attentive and the food was great. I had beef enchiladas and got Christmas (red and green) style sauce. Although the best thing there was the salsa verde that came with the chips. That was my favorite. I love sauce though. The beef was cooked well, the chips were bomb and so were the beans and rice. I had a mezcal margarita which was a little smokier but it was good too. Can’t say enough good things about this spot! Also the had old Superman movies playing on VH1 which was a baller move."
