"Trying to re-live my favorite Tolleson Arizona 80's high school lunch. Which used to a Monster burger with frys and a drink. Today 01-20-24 wasn't what my dreams were made of. We had #5 monster burger, Burrito, frys and 32oz drink. (Onion rings instead of frys) #2 fish, shrimp, frys and 31oz drink. All the food was actually a good deal, but the flavors were on the bland side. And frys were not fresh. If you are on a salt free diet our meal was right up your alley."
"Been coming to Pete’s since I was a kid and have always loved the food. Today (1/12/24) that was not the case. What happened to the fries?!?! Why did the fries change? They were thin, cold and hard; not thick and perfectly tender. The fish wasn’t flaky like it normally is. The only thing that resembled classic Pete’s was the sauce. Super disappointed today."
"A staple in the valley that is a must try. Hot the fish and shrimp, excellent. Also got the tenders (not pictured) and they were so good I forgot to get a pic. Be sure to get the awesome fry sauce as well. Sitting outside was a bit sketchy, but overall the experience was great. Staff was very friendly and welcoming."
"I always get the fried shrimp so I can’t speak too much else on the menu, but the shrimp is amazing!! My friends all tell me the fish is great. The special sauce is great with the shrimp and with the fry’s. All their effort goes into the food, so as long as you care more about the quality of the than you do about eating outside on a picnic table, this is the place for you."
"We use to ride our bikes here as kids, get Pete’s and then ride over to my grandma’s on Pasadena! And I am 60!!! When we drove by I wasn’t even hungry but had to stop for the memories!"
