Sizzle Mongolian Grill

"I won't come here again! 02/22/24 11:30am We come here 2 or 3 times a month and I've never had a problem until now. I paid for both of us and didn't leave a tip. I didn't say much either for him to react to. I then grabbed my bowl and a small sauce bowl that are at the register and the sauce area. I use this small bowl to press the food down as I go before putting sauces in it. This time, the guy at the register told me that I was not allowed to have that small bowl, and I needed to get it at the sauce section. He insisted on getting this bowl back even after I told him that I had already touched it. He was acting like I was trying to steal it or something, and I feared he might call the police on me, so I gave it back. When I asked where the manager was he said, "I'm not going to tell you!" I asked the cook but he didn't speak English. So I was given no chance to talk to management. I think he was triggered because I didn't tip. And why should I? They don't serve you food or drink and don't even come to the table until you leave when they bus the table. It is like fast food. The cooks do cook your food, but they have their own tip jar as if they don't get any of the tips from the register. Now I'm gun shy about coming back here for fear that I might be treated like a criminal again! It was so humiliating, and I felt like a homeless low life that was not welcome here. If you're the type of person that doesn't tip at this kind of restaurant, I would advise staying away from here."

"I've been coming here nearly once a week for months now. Food is always great (it also greatly depends on how you build your bowl and sauce), service is great, atmosphere is clean and great. Honestly no complaints. To the few people saying they always get sick, I'd question if they are washing their hands after preparing the bowl as you're handling raw meat in prep, even with the gloves and wax paper they provide you would still wash at home right? Fantastic Mongolian Grill, absolutely worth going and checking out."

"I love eating here! I’ve been eating here for a year and this place is always consistent, I haven’t had a problem here. I am OBSESSED with the egg drop soup, I could probably drink the whole pot! The price is great for the amount of food you get and delicious too. The staff and owner are really helpful if you have any questions. I would definitely give this place a try if you haven’t already! Happy customer and my belly is happy too!"

"First off ...the food is good but the owner is completely rude and disrespectful! Note this is the 4th time we been to this location and we are a family of 6. Two adults and 4 children. This man has told us something each time we were there. Like for example: he would tell us to not stack the veggies to high on our bowls because whatever spills onto the tray was going to be waisted. Then he would say to make sure we finish all the rice in our bowls we served. Then he would watch us and make us so uncomfortable while we ate. But today this time was enough! We were Harassed and told how to eat our food and told us we had 2 extra cups lr else he would call the cops on us and that we didn't pay for them because my kids grabbed 2 extra cups and we didn'tnotice. He also mentioned that we can not take any rice or chips home when he has it nowhere noted which should be displayed because if we payed for our food we are allowed to take it home. At that point we ask can we just get a refund and he said NO YOU AINT GETTING A DIME BACK. so i said we cant enjoy our meal with you watching us so i asked to take everything to go. I also paid for 2 more cups and took our food to go so UPSET AND ANGRY so this place gets 1star wish i can give it no stars. There was one time we went and he was out of town and it was so nice and the workers even complained about him saying he lost alot of employees due to him being disrespectful to them. So just remember if your a lil-big family dont go to this place! Its so horrible and unsettling to be there."

"Hands down BEST Mongolian in the Phoenix Metro area! If you like Mongolian, you have to come here. Large portions and excellent price!!! Tons of options to choose from at the food bar and sauce bar. Owner was fantastic and provided excellent customer service. Owner was a great help with how to go through the bar and choose your sauces. I would give this 10 stars if I could."
