Gen Korean BBQ House

"I’m glad that I went to this restaurant with my friends. The food was amazing and my kids ate a bowl of rice and some ramen noodles. I don’t know if I would describe the restaurant as “kid friendly” due to the big open flame/ grill but I brought my kids their tablets and they were occupied. I really liked the bean paste dessert that looked like a cookie."

"Everything about this place horrible grill just burns with no food to put on it service is non existent I went to speak with the manager and he said he would make sure my experience is better but I over saw him again. He just kept making excuses the meat was still frozen chewy and very tough to chew. This is definitely not Korean food or an experience you would ever have at a Korean place!!! I added photos of my lovely grill that just kept burning with no food cause that was the thing I was staring at the most. I will never go here and just left without being full because I sat there for an hour and a half and got only two orders of meat. Waste of money and waste of time driving out there"

"Firstly, when we came in were told it would be a 20 minute wait and we’d get a text when our table was ready, okay fine we walked around the marketplace waiting for this text- it ended up being about an hour and 40 minute wait. They were busy that’s fine we get it! We loved this place so we were willing to wait, when we finally got in let’s just say we were SO DISAPPOINTED, the food was disgusting! Only thing we enjoyed was the cucumber kimchi. Used to LOVE this place we used to come all the time and our favorite thing to order was the rice cakes so we ordered them and they were literally inedible!! Super hard and dried out! When we asked our server she said they changed how they cooked them with the new management but there’s nothing she could do about it. Fine so then we ordered the fried chicken another favorite of ours.. was literally cold? I get this is a place you cook the food yourself but this dish is usually precooked for you…? We were confused. They were so busy so service wasn’t the best which is understandable but not at the price you’re paying for this meal since they’ve increased their dinner prices! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH EVERYTHING! And it’s a shame because we used to love this place."

"Delicious but they are out of foods constantly. I visited Gen three times in 2 weeks span. All 3 times they were out of cheese don katsu. Second time, they were out of regular pork belly and other cuts. Third time, brisket was out. Also it had like 2 hours wait. Not sure if it is worth a visit if they have no foods to serve. Mando was the best and overall food quailty was above the average."
