BirdTalk Chicken- Tempe

"Fried chicken sandwich was solid. Nice, juicy, tender breast meat fried to golden brown. Classic southern fried spices. I got the house specialty sandwich with nice cole slaw, pickles, and buttermilk ranch dressing on a brioche bun. It was as good as I've had. The fries were just a standard food service, double-fried variety. A good fried chicken sandwich is one of the best things you can eat, and there are a few joints popping-up. Another similar one is Birdcall, which I've had in Scottsdale. I feel, though, that these places have a very hard time competing with Chick Fil-A. My meal with a drink was $18. I feel like others will feel like CFA is as good or better for noticeably less, like maybe $12 for the same meal. CFA is very good and a great value, but this sandwich is one you won't want to miss if you love fried chicken sandwiches. And who doesn't?"

"Cost 4/5: For a Nashville burger, fries and a dark, it was roughly $18, making it a bit more pricy than your average fastfood restaurant, but on-bar with your average dine-in experience. Food 4/5: The food was tasty, but nothing revolutionary. I'd consider it to be a small upgrade from Chick-fil-A, especially with how delicious the fries were. Service 5/5: The cashier was extremely sweet and walked me through each item I asked about. I stayed for roughly 1 hour just by myself when they first opened, and there were no awkward glances or conversations."

"Nashville Loaded Fries, 3 piece Nashville Tenders, and a side of Mac & Cheese. Everything was very flavorful! Next time I’d get the loaded Nashville Mac & Cheese instead as the fries were soggy."

"I love chicken so I wanted to give this place a try. I got chicken tenders Nashville hot with fries and the food comes out hot and delicious and the tenders are good sized not small like other places. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I’ll definitely go back when I’m near that part of town."

"Pretty okay chicken sandwich pop-up that likely won’t last long, so get here before it’s gone, or don’t. Nothing really new or special about this place. $14 chicken sandwich combo comes with a side and sauce of your choice, no drink. My Nashville Chicken Sandwich was fine, but no bigger than a Popeye’s, and not nearly as flavorful. Pretty certain it gave me the runs. Tots were solid, and the serving size was decent. The ranch might’ve been house made, but could also be bulk ranch with some seasoning mixed in, hard to tell. Front of house staff was friendly enough, but completely lacking enthusiasm or personality. She sat on her phone as I watched my food sit in the window for awhile, and I waited til the kitchen staff finally came back and rang the bell to get her attention. BirdTalk has a lot of pizazz and flair on offer, but is lacking in flavor, customer service, and value. Service is a bit on the apathetic side, in both front and back of house, with zero communication between the two. Not a good recipe for longevity in a hyper competitive chicken sandwich market. Only bummer is my google review will only survive as long as the restaurant, which wont be long."
