"Found out this restaurant from Ana at the a Phoenix Open. I’m so glad she told us about this! We came and the photo was so good. Very flavorful and service was on point. Drinks were good and dessert was the icing on top! Can’t wait to come here for brunch. Give this new place a try!!"
"This place is a pretty good spot for a nice lunch or dinner. The food is delicious and the drinks are great too. We tried the margarita and pulque drinks which we really enjoyed. The service was incredible, our waiter was checking in on us and was very friendly. He made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great, we tried the chorizo queso fundido and it was very good. The portion felt small though for a price point of $20. It also came with tortillas instead of chips so we wished we had our pick. However the blue corn tortillas were exceptional so we didn’t mind at all. We also both tried the pollo asado which tasted incredible. The beans and chicken were so tasty and delicious, with the chicken having a lot of depth in flavor, I loved it. It also came which rice which was a little bland. But it tasted okay when we tried it with a piece of the chicken or with the beans. Overall I loved this dish and the portion was pretty large for the $35 price point, can’t complain there. The food also looked so appetizing and pretty. Very good presentation! There was complimentary valet parking which felt like overkill at a 5pm dining time. The spots were right by the door so I felt like it wasn’t needed. Maybe later on when it’s the dinner rush, because although it’s complimentary, you obviously want to tip the valet guys at least $10-20 bucks. I gave the atmosphere a 3 because it felt a little plain. The chairs and furniture were nice, but it just felt plain and a little boring. Wish they had some art or interesting decor. If I walked in not knowing they sold Mexican food, I would not be able to tell what type of restaurant it was. It can be upscale but also fun as well. Overall I really like this spot and would come back. I recommend making a reservation, but service was quick and easy when we went for an early dinner. It started to get fuller and busier around 6pm."
"Walked over to check out the new place. Wife and I are big fans of Espiritu in Mesa and this place has just the same elevated food. The atmosphere is totally opposite- spaced out, well lit area. Like most places, the bar is a great place to sit and interact with bartenders. Justin and Justin were both great to us. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional… one has a mixology background and it shows in the delicious cocktails made. The other is very knowledgeable about agave and can lead you to a tasty cocktail. The food did not disappoint. Everything had just rich and complex flavors. From the frijoles to the clams/mussels, and all the way to the dinosaur short rib and then tres leches. The yam salad was one thing that was crazy different - yet simple. Everything is good size to share - and you’ll want to with all the dishes and flavors to experience."
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at the new restaurant co-owned by Robert Centeno and Armando Hernandez, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The fusion of Espiritu and Chiwas Cocina creates a unique open atmosphere that is both sophisticated and inviting. The vibrant music adds a perfect touch to the overall ambiance. The dry-aged bone ribeye is an absolute must-try. The robust flavor is unparalleled, and I highly recommend complementing it with a side of their flavorful beans. The papas served as a side are nothing short of mouthwatering, adding an extra layer of indulgence to the meal. For seafood lovers, the grilled lobster and pork belly is a delightful treat for those craving something savory. As for drinks, the micheladas here are a revelation. The mix is expertly crafted and easily one of my favorites in the valley. In summary, this high-end restaurant not only excels in providing a fantastic culinary experience but also boasts an incredible vibe that makes it a must-visit. Whether you're a steak enthusiast or a fan of inventive cocktails, this establishment delivers on all fronts."
