"I am trying to find a place I can afford to eat efficiently. This is not the place. After tax burrito is almost $9, don’t agree to potato in your burrito or it will be only potato. I told the person up front how disappointed I was to spend my food money for the day and barely see any protein. (She said it’s because they fried the bacon down but at best I got 3 strips “fried down”, if that). The potatoes nor sauces weren’t very good so I’m just pulling them out and only getting a few bites for what I spent. If you like the food here I don’t want to ruin a family business. I’m just hungry still after a waste of $8.68 so I’m frustrated."

"Haven't had El Nuevo Taquito since I was a kid. I have a close friend who keeps telling me that this is his go to spot......and he is right! Today we ventured down to the South side to try it out. Now I haven't been down Central Ave. for many years. The light rail construction has Central confined to one lane weaving left to right. So be prepared for a little traffic (this will probably go on for another year). So I get to where I thought Nuevo Taquito was and it has since moved. It is now about a half mile further south in a larger restaurant. You walk in and it's a no frills restaurant with an extensive menu on the wall. The prices have gone up over the years but that can be expected of any restaurant now a days. Me and my wife both ordered combination plates that were about $12 each. You get a meat of your choice,rice,beans and tortillas (corn or flour). I had my favorite carne asada and she had her favorite carnitas. We were both blown away my the portions and the great taste of the food. I almost didn't finish my plate and she had enough left over for tomorrow's lunch. It's worth the drive and the traffic entanglements ."
