"For anyone wondering if the food is good or not, I hope this picture answers your question."
"I enjoyed the delicious Egusi soup w/FuFu. The staff was friendly and the cook brought out my order, that was very hospitable. The atmosphere was cozy and nice. Thank you for the delicious taste of Africa. I didnt even finish my food half way."
"Dined here about 4 times, and I’ve always been so happy each time. So much flavor. The first time I came here was last year, and my friend showed me the ropes. Since then, I’ve brought my friends here. Every time, so many people take out. I always like to try new things but there are 3 things I always have to get. Fufu with whatever soup they have that day. Attieke with snapper. Chuck rice with chicken. Their full menu is not always available. They let you know what they have. I’ve tried their egusi, pepper, cassava, and goat soup. Every one at my table would have their favorite one, so I can’t recommend one more than the other. Egusi is probably the most unique though in terms of texture and flavor. Fufu comes out HOT so be warned. We let it cool down a bit and it’s a lil less sticky and more manageable. Every soup usually has different types of meats and lots of bones (like turkey neck), so be careful there too. Chuck rice with chicken. The sauce is amazing and the chicken is fried so well that it stays crispy under all the sauce! I definitely have some fufu with the chicken here too. Snapper with attieke and plantains. Attieke is as unique to me as fufu is. And it has so much flavoooor. Snapper is a whole fish, fried to perfection. This comes with a mayo salad sauce type thing. There three entrees are usually more than enough for a group of 4. With a water bottle (they don’t do cups of water, I think), it adds up to be about $25-30 a person. And we usually have enough to take home for one more meal. If you want, I also recommend their ginger juice. STRONG ginger flavor. It warms you right up. I imagine it’s great for my stomach after all the palm oil and spices. Other tips: They got a hand washing station for hygienic fufu eating!"
"I haven’t tried African cuisine before (from any region) so this was completely new to me. I decided to be bold today though and try it so I got what seemed to the most popular dish according to the reviews, the palm butter soup and fufu (option 7). I was excited and nervous to try it but to my pleasant surprise, it did not disappoint one bit!!! It was amazingly delicious and packed with flavors and spices. The meat was juicy, tender and cooked just right. I’ve never had fufu before either but I can only explain it as a mushy masa texture and flavor (like what’s used for making tortillas from scratch). Maybe like the texture of matzah ball? Not really sure. It doesn’t have much of a flavor but thats what make it perfect with the palm butter soup!!! I broke it off with my fingers and dipped it into the soup, and that was *chef’s kiss* 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming back here when I’m in the mood for a warm, flavorful soup!! So glad I decided to venture out today :) the customer service was great too!"
