Red Lobster

"My wife and I invited friends from out of town to Red Lobster on Saturday evening after not seeing them for years. We were seated quickly, the restaurant was nice, as usual, our waiter was friendly, courteous, and prompt. I had Walt's Shrimp, fries, and a salad. The food all tasted and looked great, but before I left the restaurant I was already feeling ill, I thought that maybe I was over tired from the long trip to Tucson, but that night, and the following day I was very ill. I can't explain why, but I suspect the shrimp or the salad dressing. Also, one of my guests ordered a beer on tap, and although he finally received it, we were told that the bartender had left for the day. This was about 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday, which, in my opinion, is poor planning. I have always loved Red Lobster and have dined in many of their restaurants across the country, but I really feel let down by this experience. I do look forward to visiting again, but it better be right!"

"Ash Wednesday + Valentines in one. Host said 60 min wait, pushing to make it 45. Hubby said no way! I asked host to take my name off the list, and said he could get us in in 15min and he did! Got the famous bread at same time as food b/c they had to bake more. Food was great! The cheapest Margarita was awesome. Service very friendly even though they were rushing. Kudos for the bartender, waitress, cooks and the host who did not let us go!"

"We celebrated three "Scorpio" birthdays in our family at Red Lobster. The company was wonderful, food delicious and we had a wonderful waitress. It's worth it to celebrate together and let someone else do the cooking, serving and cleaning up."

"Not the worst place for food but it is after all a chain that has average quality food. Shrimp was very tasty and everyone’s meals were good. Server was excellent and attentive. Only issue was the store was not the cleanest as the floor had lots of items about and it just didn’t have a polished clean feeling. Food portions are small when ordering combos. Nothing like the actual menu picture of same item. No surprise there. Prices were ok but a bit high for how much you received. Pasta was very good and the burger was also good"

"Tried the new cheddar bay shrimp and crispy dragon shrimp. Both of them were amazingly delicious. The cheddar Bay shrimp was perfectly cooked, crispy, and had a great flavor. My first thought was why didn't they think of this sooner! The crispy dragon shrimp was also amazing. The flavor was perfect as was the presentation. Our main courses were ok. The mashed potatoes looked like they had sat for a while. The top was dried over, but the flavor was good. The broccoli was a little over cooked, near mushy. Steak and fried fish were good. Service was lacking. We initially were patient and figured being a holiday it was expected. However several times we felt we were forgotten about. It was not the typical service we get, so hopefully next time will be better."
