"This place is pretty good. I usually get the salad. It's pretty expensive, though. Almost $20 for salad and drink, but it's a big enough salad to make at least 2 meals for me, and I chose steak which is a $2 upcharge. They have horchata here and it's pretty good. It's a chain so expect chain quality, but good flavor. The place is clean and so is the restroom. The only thing I didn't like is the restroom has a code but no lock inside. So, there's barge-in potential."
"The food at cafe Rio is great, but that’s not why I’m writing this review. I come to this specific store over other stores in my area because the staff are always exceptionally friendly, happy to be there and always considerate of my time. I know how busy things can get with online orders and trying to stay on pace with customers coming into the store. If I come and and it takes them a minute to get to me, they apologize for the wait and get you exactly what you need with a smile on their face. I’m addicted to cafe Rio and I drive past several other stores closer to my house to get to this one because they don’t mess up, they’re happy to be there and make some damn good food. The food industry can be a thankless job, but I had to say thanks because I come back consistently because of how nice it is there."
"My family and I walked into this location to eat dinner. There was one girl making food and one guy in the back. There were three other employees sitting in the dining area. We got in line and she never greeted us to say she’d be right with us. She just kept making an online order. We ordered and for some reason, they had their food items on the back counter instead of in the front “case” where they normally are. I think it was because they were preparing things to close well before closing time. Our food was cold but we decided to just deal with it. As we’re eating, the partner and small child of one of the workers came in and were hanging around. The employee ran her hands through her partner’s hair and proceeded to go in the back and work with the food. The little girl was running around in the back where the food is prepared. One of the employees picked her up and was carrying her around upside down in the back running around with her. As we were leaving, I took a picture of the outside of the building. One of the employees came outside and started taking pictures/videos of me and my family. The partner (male) of the employee started confronting me (female) and asked me what the issue was. As we were driving away, he was videoing us (which is fine) but he was yelling at us and flipping us off. This was all very inappropriate and my family didn’t feel safe. I don’t recommend this location for very obvious sanitary and customer service reasons."
"Service was terrible. My original order: Grilled chicken burrito, rice and beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc inside. And chicken tortilla soup The picture attached, is what they gave me. When I told the lady that I wanted to add toppings to the burrito, the hurrily closed it and put it in the oven, stating: "yeah you can have toppings, we just put it in the oven for the cheese to melt". It was then taken out by another lady who didn't want to open my burrito to add toppings... The soup I got was cold....they charged me $25 to mess up my order and give me cold soup..."
"I have been in the Cafe Rio in Camelback, food is good but the service is bad, they seem to be always in bad mood, like they are making you a favor. The one in Baseline is the same, but the tortilla were cold and stiff. Plus the charge you for every single ingredients. This was my experience, I see they treat white people better. Might be my perspective, I don't know, but other cheaper restaurants treat me better as a client."
