"First: THIS IS NOT a hotel or restaurant any more. If you are Googling for a restaurant or hotel, this listing is not either of those. Look elsewhere. Why is it still listed as that, you may ask? The historic sign saying that name is still up, that's why. But for many years this place has been an apartment complex for seniors. The old restaurant is now the clubhouse. The historic old motel rooms are now apartments. There are completely new (not historic) units in the back. There is no restaurant or short-term tenancy. At all. If you are considering these as an apartment option, know that it is challenging to get into them. It is run by a national management company, not a local one. The rules change; the site management changes. The units are nice enough inside, but maintenance can be slow. The senior residents are a very mixed lot. It's a very rough area of town, adjacent to strip bars and a homeless shelter. I work with residents here, and most of them are pretty happy to be here. As far as low-income subsidized senior housing goes in Tucson, it seems decent enough. Usual problems. But if you are looking for anything else, pass on this place."
"Remodeling completed. Now apartments. Should be gated. Delusions of safety. Management (started 2 weeks prior to my visit) won't even get up out of air conditioning to unlock door or show me a vacant apartment. Definitely NOT directly on the bus line. Dangerous neighborhood. Unit for $600? The "0WNER" is a maintainance supervisor...ugh! But I'll give them a chance. Still waiting for my application and available floor plans and rent quotes."
"I was only here to pick up a friend. I use to work here many years ago but it's been bought out and totally remodeled. It looks fantastic."
"Great place for elderly people I love helping the community out and it was my pleasure to work with them.."
"Is now a low-income apartment. No restaurant."
