"Like the parking in back with easy access. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Server was excellent and seated near open kitchen. They actually make the tortillas to order- right there. Chips and salsa were exceptional. The food Devine with large portions. Note: went around 11:30 and started getting full for lunch crowd"
"Cute place. I've been to two other la Padilla locations but first time at this one. Food was very good with the exception of the Guacamole. My dinner stated spicy on the menu but it was mild. I prefer spicy but the flavor overall was savory so it compensated for the lack of heat. Presentation was very sloppy, plate was overfilled... so much so that the waitress spilled the sauce from the plate on my dress as she serving it. Then she never bothered to apologize or check in. They should adjust portion or find plates that allow for the meal. Since the food was good I'll probably try it again but wear dark clothes lol and hope to get a different waitress."
"So I went there for some lunch and sat at the bar. We asked our server to change the TV to a game we wanted, and she literally just handed us the 2 remotes, and yes, I said 2. It took us a couple min trying to figure it out before a manager came and helped us out, asking if he could assist us in finding what we wanted to watch. He then got it on. It was okay. I have definitely had better and was not even sure what I was eating. I ordered the 3 dippers appetizers. They all looked the same and honestly tasted the same. I might as well have had a full meal for the price of the small dippers. I went to the bathroom, and the stall I went to was completely out of toilet paper, i had to ask someone in there to give me some. Plus, the toilet paper holder was all nasty with something all over it. Left the bathroom, and there was no hanfld sanitizer. Yes, i did wash my hands. However, i like having sanitizer. I think I would try this place again, but I definitely will order something different. We will see."
"I visited La Parrilla Suiza on East Speedway Blvd in Tucson on 12/16/22. The authentic ambiance began as my lunch companion and I approached the attractive, colorfully painted building from the rear parking lot which afforded ample parking. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The interior of the restaurant is inviting and clean, and it provides the dining atmosphere that one would expect of a restaurant that has established itself in Tucson serving authentic Mexico City cuisine. The open kitchen enhances the authenticity. Our waitress was accommodating and friendly. She was patient with our attempt to order using our limited Spanish skills that we were eager to try out. I ordered the #14 Bistek con Enchilada Suizas which consisted of two cheese enchiladas and two charbroiled beef tacos. This combination platter came with their traditional charro beans, rice and lettuce. I chose iced tea with lemon for my drink. My companion ordered Chorizo con Juevos and selected lemonade to drink. The service was quick and efficient and the food was delicious. My photos show the presentation and serving sizes. I will leave it to reviewers with more culinary expertise to comment on the differences between Mexico City cuisine and other Mexican food. I only know that this is good Mexican food and that this restaurant is suitable for bringing guests who want to experience some of Tucson's authentic Mexican cuisine. A word of warning, however -- the salsa they brought out with the chips before the meal was very hot and nothing more mild was available, at least not on that day. One delightful note is their drinking glasses are different from the usual restaurant glasses, and they keep the ice from melting too fast throughout the meal."
"If I could give 10 stars I would!! Our server Naydelyn was the sweetest server, very nice. We had the pleasure of sitting where we could watch the cooking entertainment. The way these workers work so well together is amazing. The food!!! Oh my goodness the food is amazing! We will travel the 3 hrs from home to come again. This place ranks top of all Mexican food restaurants."
