Las Originales Carnitas el Michoacano

"In South Tucson, to most there are only two options for carnitas, if you're a local. And none in Tucson. For the cabeza taco, El Michoacano is the best I've had since the market in Holland, MI closed almost 20 years ago. Their carnitas, with skin, stomach and meat is great. Not sure which is better. Btw, Google kinda sucks. They ask me what I'd recommend: Birria, street tacos, pulled pork, or Pig's Trotters. Weird. I'd recommend tacos. Not sure why they'd be called "street" tacos. It is mexican food. May e they could also add carnitas. Hmm. Bonus, the people who are compelled to say street tacos probably use the term "side-hustle", not understanding that is what people come up with to survive and often not something you'd hear about on social media"

"Really great carnitas, however my personal favorite is the chicharron in red sauce. Looks to be family owned and run, which makes for great service. Small place with a big heart."

"Very good carnitas! The restaurant was very clean even the bathroom was very clean. The carnitas were hot and had great flavor. They offer an oil salsa that is good. You get all your condiments from a cart that has everything you would want. Definitely go give this place a try!!"

"We live five minutes from this place, and pass it all the time saying we need to try it and today was the day, I didn’t want to cook dinner due to just getting back into town from vacation and I’m glad this was our first pick! It was absolutely delicious and we definitely will go back. It’s hard to find decent and reasonably good prices on Mexican food these days. 2 lbs fed our family of 5."
