"Service was horrendously slow. We didn’t get greeted for at least 15 min after being sat at our table. Our food took over an hour to come out, even though all the tables around us got theirs sooner. Once I got our servers attention, he said it’ll be right out, and 10 min later it was. I’m guessing our server forgot to put our order in. The shrimp molcajetes was good and hot, but we never got the tortillas. Our server said he’d bring them, but then we didn’t see him until we were finished and it was too late and he forgot about them. Although my burrito chilango was bigger than my arm, there was sour cream inside which isn’t listed in the menu. I don’t like sour cream, so I had to avoid certain parts. My burrito came with a side salad with ranch, but it had no ranch. But the portions were huge and super filling. The table-side salsa tasted like tomato sauce with some additions. I wouldn’t return for dine in, but I’d probably get take out or delivery!"
"We went with a group and they could not seat us together despite calling ahead by over 1 hour and telling us they could. Other than that, pretty good experience. They would not split up our tab, which is not a problem for me or most people , I presume, but be aware. The guacamole was amazing. The salsa good. Hearty portions, way more to eat than you can finish. Good food. The guacamole and salsa was pretty expensive given many very good Mexican restaurants serve it free. The drinks were also very expensive comparatively speaking, but also very good."
"While visiting Tucson, I thought this might be a good place to get great Mexican food. The parking lot was full, so I figured this was the right spot. There wasn't a wait to get in, but we were seated in the back, and it took a long time for a waitress to come around to us. In fact, the waitress NEVER made it around. A guy, I think his name was Ryan, helped us out. I believe he was working the bar but saw we'd been waiting, so he stepped up and handled our table for the rest of the night. I like that they make the salsa for you at your table. We all enjoyed margaritas and cocktails (around $15 each). We tried several different entrees, including the ultimate fajitas and the California burrito. The food was pretty good, but not great to me. Maybe it's because I'm so used to American Mexican food that's cheesier and saucier. This place really had a family vibe. I saw a lot of families and large groups dining here, but it's one and done for me."
"I think this place has its own hall of fame in Tucson. Very unique place where they make table side free salsa with your spice leveling. I really enjoyed the food. The service was not the best the server was very rude the menu had a lot of items we needed help in choosing he wasn’t even interested in talking. Overall it’s authentic establishment with great food they need to work on the service."
"Lots of potential but we didn't experience the potential. Service was good with the salsa service being fairly unique. I have had table side avocado salsa done but never fresh salsa made. The salsa was free with a tip jar and no pressure, which I thought was cool. Beers were cold and a nice selection of tequila. Unfortunately the food was warm at best and closer to the cold side. Had the food been hot/warm, temperature wise (not spice wise), the rating would be higher. The bar tenders were friendly and easy to have a conversation. Plenty of parking and handicap accessible."
