"Waited over 30 minutes only to discover they hadn’t added us to the wait list — apparently they were having issues connecting their tablets to the web-based reservation/wait list service. Once seated, I studied the menu noticing it had changed quite a bit since the last time I had dined here… not quite the diversity of recipes they used to propose. Nothing really inspired me so I gravitated towards the Great American Default: a hamburger. At $20, it was perfectly boring: overpriced average fare. My girlfriend had the chicken salad croissant which she later confided was “bland”. Servers were nice, albeit somewhat disorganized and slow. Overall, food is “meh”, service OK, but the Hummingbird Patio offers such a pleasant atmosphere, the old adobe home warm and inviting, the grounds beautiful… you’ll end up having a nice time in spite of the restaurant’s shortcomings."
"We ate inside, you should get an outside table in good weather. My chicken and blue corn waffle was good. My wife enjoyed the tostadas which had a nicely spicy creamy sauce, say heat level 6 of 10."
"So bad that I was there on rainy day and couldn’t be dining out there in the garden. Got shrimp taco, sweet potato fries and their prickly pear mimosa. Food is great but it took too long to be seated, order food and have the cheque which delays our itinerary quite a bit. But it still worth a visit if you are in town, such a cute place."
"Such a cute little tucked away garden hacienda style restaurant that really represents Tucson. Lots of fountains, Desert plantings, a great little lunch spot with good food and a lovely atmosphere. A little bit pricey but good and would be a very special place for a nice birthday brunch or to take some friends that are visiting Tucson. Cute gift shop with lots of local Tucson Arizona things."
