"Editing a 5 star review to a 1 star. I have been coming here since I was a kid. It has been amazing until recently. They have new owners or investors who changed everything, from who they get their food through to how the business is run. With the changes has been a MASSIVE decline in how the food has been. The chicken Parmesan has been so bad the last few visits my husband and I changed what we order and tried the chicken Chimi enchilada style and the enchilada and taco dinner. The center of the Chimi was cold when it hit the table. The cheese in the enchiladas were not even fully melted and the enchilada sauce tasted burnt. The waitresses have always been hit and miss how pleasant they are but this last time she barely spoke to us or the tables around us until something was brought to her attention. When I mentioned the issues with the food she was kind enough to inform us mid March they are getting a new menu, as if that makes up for the poor food. I won't be coming back to try it. Nor will I be recommending this place to everyone I know anymore. I seriously hope the correct people see this review and get this fixed, truckers and locals deserve better."
"**Updated Review 3/10/24** They just updated the menu and prices with some substantial price increases. I was disappointed to see 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees cost me over $50!!! I know it’s a sign of the times, but a dozen eggs costs $2-3 at any market, and adding an extra egg to my plate was nearly $4 extra!! So I’ll be passing on this location from now on. It’s good, but not that good. Open 24 hours, working overnights this place comes in clutch when nothing else is open. Great diner options, good portion sizes, and ok prices. I don’t mind spending if the food is worth it. This place, after several visits, hits the nail on the head every time! Foods always fresh, service is friendly, restaurant is super clean inside. Doesn’t always look open from the outside. But they are."
"Food was delicious I ordered The Trio- cup soup, 1/2 sandwich and a side salad, with a prickly pear margarita. The soup of the day, stock vegetable soup so amazing"
"If you are a local in Tucson you are very aware of the unique restaurant, it's in a truck stop, some might call it a dive, I call a wonderful restaurant to get a real home cooked meal. The pork chops and the meatloaf are very special."
"Omar's Hi-Way Restaurant at the TTT is a fantastic find! This place has it all – a diner, motel, truck stop, gift store, arcade, and even a Candy Castle! The portions here are enormous, so you won't leave hungry. The food is good, just what you'd expect from classic American dining with a touch of Mexican and Italian influences. Don't miss their deep-dish apple pie topped with soft serve ice cream – it's a heavenly treat. Open 24/7, Omar's is perfect for breakfast any time of the day and has a menu for kids too. If you're in Tucson, make sure to swing by this hidden gem and enjoy the old-time atmosphere."
