"My son has been in grad school at The University of Arizona for the last several years and this is his "go to" restaurant at the end of a long day of campus work. So, needless to say, this was THE CHOICE for dinner while I was visiting him recently for the Festival of Books. We dined in Friday night, but ordered enough to take home and enjoy after the Festival on Saturday and Sunday. And, because I hadn't tried all my son's favorites, I returned Monday evening as he worked on his research, to pick up carry-out. There isn't a bad thing to say about this place, except maybe that the food is addicting. I flew back home on Tuesday and I can still mentally savor the garlic bread, and I crave the flavor of the deep fried zucchini and mushrooms. The food is DELICIOUS!!!! The restaurant atmosphere is welcoming, family friendly and very comfortable. The staff...super pleasant, very helpful, and just as welcoming as the dining room atmosphere. Our server, on Friday, gave us recommendations, and we tried one of them. It was the spinach lasagna and it was SO GOOD. The garlic bread that came with it was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside with just the perfect amount of butter and garlic to make it "melt in your mouth tasty". We also ordered a hand tossed veggie pizza (a Lenten Friday treat) and enjoyed that as well. Monday, I returned and ordered a carry-out at the counter, then ran to the grocery store as they prepared my meal. The meal was ready when I returned and was still hot when I got it home. The gentleman taking my order was very pleasant and helpful with choosing specifics for my sandwiches. He also offered a way for me to pick-up in the drive-through, should I ever do a carry-out in the future. We had a great conversation about where hometown was, noting that we had an Ohio connection in our pasts. Monday's meal consisted of a chicken Alfredo pizza, 2 grilled chicken sandwiches, and (in spite of the fact that I knew it would be way too much food, but I just couldn't pass it up) the Sampler Platter. Each item was just as good as the Friday meal. I left plenty of food behind to feed my son all week. I'm ready for a return to Bianchi's. It will be on my dining list every return to Tucson."
"Back in December My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here with about 40 people. We showed up after a competing restaurant could not accommodate us- Bianchi's had no issue accommodating and working with us last minute to provide a great meal for everyone that was delicious and very affordable. Thank you to everyone on the team and the owner for being so willing to take such a large group without a heads up. Thank you! We appreciate you guys and the service was excellent. Definitely recommended for everyone and especially if you need to feed a group of friends and family. Thanks again!"
"This is a small little Italian place with a big focus on customer service. We were sat right away, even though they were busy. They got our drinks out quickly and checked in to see if we had any questions about the menu. We ordered and not long after our food arrived. I Hardly noticed the wait, but it might have had something to do with the garlic bread and sauce we were eating as an appetizer. The food was hot and delicious, especially the marinara sauce. I wish I would have had room for dessert but was too full even though I was taking half of the food home. Great portions. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu and hopefully take some dessert home for later."
"Had a decent pizza at Bianchias yesterday, 1110 N. Silverbell , just north of Speedway. Sauce is what makes a GOOD pizza, hard to screw up toppings after all. Their sauce was on the tame side for me, I like BOLD Sauces, so the Peter Piper 1/2 block north is very bland similar. But it was good, and with a Huge Coke and tip, was $30. About $27 at Peter Piper. Lots of interesting things on the menu. And prices are NOT thru the roof. It's a sports bar, so that means loud. Go B4 ot after lunch time for quieter experience. Several tvs on at same time. SUPER FAST service, like under 10 minz pizza to table, bubbling pizza hot."
"The pepperoni Calzone was the best. The service was acceptable yet I feel they were too busy to shine. We got two items the Calamari strips and the pepperoni calzone. The calamari was acceptable and the calzone was delicious. The dough was soft and delicious as well as the pepperoni full of flavor. They have indoor and outdoor sitting, we notice the restrooms being dirty yet the tables weren’t. I like the Coca-Cola cups they serve the drinks in, they are more than enough. I will recommend this location and I be returning."
