"You need to get here early to get a nice shady camping site, but all in all a nice campground for camping or day use. Close to the N. Fork Boise River."
"This was a great campground but there was a rattle snake in the camp close to #1. I saw another review about rattle snakes and didn't really believe it since I have never seen a rattle snake in my camp before. Needless to say he won't be bothering anyone anymore but I'm sure there are more so you should watch your dogs and kids. The river is great and lots of shade. Fishing was good too."
"Stayed one night on the motorcycle. I think i was in camp site 5 close to the road. It was still quite and great for hanging my hammock. The other sites closer to the river where bigger and looked good for RV and bigger families. I was able to find firewood pretty easy. Bathroom was clean and stocked. It might get a little dusty and noisy in the busy summer times. I would return."
"Beautiful scenery, well kept up campground. Look forward to actually staying a few days here."
"We'd give 5 stars to this campground next to water if it wasn't for the long windy bumpy dirt road you need to take for about an hour or so (depending if you're towing) from Idaho City. The campground itself is small, but beautiful and pretty quiet, has clean restrooms, trash service, access to water and a very close private white sanded beach on the North Fork of the Boise River. We booked campsite #3, single family but it was so large that we could have fitted a few more tents in there if we really wanted to. Campsite #1 is closest to the river and the nice beach, also pretty private, but further away from restrooms & water. Hiking trails a mile or so away, lots of ATV & mountain bikes around too. Do be aware of rattle snakes especially with small children, they're popular uninvited camp-guests. We'd probably be back, after the memories about the long bumpy roads subsides."
