Reviews of Dunes Lake Picnic Area
"It's clean and nicely kept. BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT!!!!!!!! There are a bunch of picnic tables under shaded trees. There are half a dozen life jackets that are free for any one to use for the day and they are high quality. The water isn't very deep. I walked out 50 feet and it wasn't over 4 feet deep. The bottom is all sand (and moss) so it doesn't hurt to walk out there. I definitely am planning another trip back here."
"Great destination. Wonderful scenery!"
"So peaceful, had our lunch and this is the view ❤️"
"Nice place for a hike or family outing. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because not all the trails are marked. The view from the top of the dunes is amazing and well worth the climb. Wear appropriate footwear."
"Fun place to get out of town and enjoy some of the largest dunes in the area. Get there early to catch a sunrise or stay late to see some of the darkest skies in the state. The Milky Way can be spectacular from this location. Amazing to play in a sandbox this big!"
