"I was just exploring the area in the Spring and saw this spot, so I checked it out on a whim, and was definitely glad I did. Feels like a very sacred spot, and as you walk amongst the huge cedars in this rainforest like place it feels like moving meditation. Since it was starting to rain and I heard thunder in the distance I did the loop quickly, but the memory of this place remains as strong as any other hike I've done this year."
"this is a magical forest like no other. if you are anywhere near the cedars or driving by them, make sure you stop and check them out! they are a must see place. there is no problem with dogs on the trails but make sure you clean up after yourself and your dogs, please do your best to keep this place amazing, that way generations for years to come are able to experience how amazing this forest truly is!"
"This is a unique area in the Kooteni forest of old growth cedars. They are huge and it's an easy 1+ mile hike. No amenities other than 2 out houses and a couple of picnic tables near Ross Creek so take water and. a sack lunch. A long drive from Kalispell but well worth the visit"
"What an amazing place! This is basically Montanas version of the "redwoods" this is old growth cedar and its very impressive. Nice little trail, very easy hike out and back, marked well with lots to see. Their are bathrooms in the parking lot but no campground, and the road is twisty and narrow, definitely not for trailers so heed the signs!"
"Absolutely stunning place be sure to not bring your stroller I would hike your kids in. The scenery was very nice we even saw a lady painting the stream. The bathrooms were decent and the park was extremely clean it helped there was a restaurant down the street a bit."
