Camp Ward is a unique institution located in Athol, Idaho, United States. Once a World War II-era naval training station, this 4,000-acre park offers camping opportunities with 223 individual sites, 10 camping cabins, and 7 group camps. The visitor center is now open daily from 9 am to 4 pm throughout the winter season. Camping is available in the Gilmore campground until the snow flies, with water turning off on October 8 but electricity still available. The Museum at the Brig is closed until Memorial Day 2024.

The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking public input for a grant proposal to construct a new campground at Farragut State Park. The campground will be located at Peterson and will feature a new multi-generational group camping concept with RV sites, tent pads, and small camper cabins. This project aims to provide a new recreational opportunity for all Idaho recreational vehicle users with easy access to Highway 95.

"No services so you must be self contained. Nice large spots with great views of area and mountains. Much better value for Farragut camping and not right next to each other as you are in the electrical/water/sewer spots. Full hookups are now approaching $40/night. Farragut does have dump stations outside of the campgrounds."
