The park has playground equipment, public restrooms, tennis courts, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, large trees for shade, benches, covered picnic areas with tables and plenty of seating for large groups. Leashed pets are allowed."

"Our family stopped here for one of our stops, during an 8 hour drive to let the kids play for a while. It was such a nice park with many shade trees, thick green grass and a huge playground. Our kids are 3-12 in age and all of them had fun. A few of the slides were broken and boarded up but they had so many this was not an issue at all. There were restrooms and picnic tables and plenty of benches. If we ever do a road trip out west again, I will stop here."

"Colby Kansas is a nice farm community, refuel and food stop. We are starting our adventure to the Cincinnati area and are traveling via non-Interstate as much as possible. US HWY 24 runs through the North side of town and we started at Fike Park by taking a nice walk around the park before heading out on US 24. Fike is a great representation of many rural town parks. There is usually nice shade and a good place to get a walk in, rest you mind and soul before heading out on the road. We have traveled I70 too many times and this road trip to see Aunt Jeannie was an ideal time to get out of that rut. We also saw one of the places you only find in rural America."
