Reviews of Champion Homes Manufacturing Facility - Weiser
"Do your research people. Champion homes is 9th on list of 1-10 We had a 2005 champion it was amazing. Our home burned down in March so we went with champion again HUGE MISTAKE The furnace went out 5 weeks after start and again 4 weeks later. You cannot contact your dealer or champion, you deal on your own with factory NORTEK. Same with appliances The quality of work coming from champion is a joke We are hoping to do a YouTube WHYNOT to buy champion Will add photos asap"
"Arrive and get untarped outside the gate. get greated by a friendly operator, then pull forward to the appointed unload area. Great place to deliver and good people."
"We bought a Champion Home through the dealer, Luxury Homes, in Springville, UT. The home was built in Weiser, Idaho. Some of our experience was pretty good, but definitely nothing to brag about. A couple cabinet doors were hung crookedly, all the annoying green and this-side-up stickers were left on the windows (under the screens, making them so difficult and frustrating to remove), an electric outlet came loose, and there are quite a few cracks, which we were told were to be expected. The biggest frustration is the roof and roof vents. We paid extra ($10k+) for a roof that could withstand the heavy snow loads of a mountain property (7,000 ft elevation), but after the first winter, we found vent caps that were ripped off by the snow. Everyone asks us why they were installed near the bottom of the roof instead of near the top - where the snow wouldn't be as deep and heavy. Since we were within the first year after the first winter, we contacted Luxury Homes, but they told us we had to contact the builders in Weiser Idaho, so we did that. The people in Weiser Idaho would only send us a bunch of new vent covers, but we had to get someone to install them for us. They also told us that it shouldn't happen again. We bought the home in 2016 and have had vents come off every year. This winter was especially hard and nearly every vent came off again this year. We can't keep doing this, so we're finally hiring someone to re-do the roof correctly - with a ridge vent instead of the ridiculous turtle vents placed near the bottom of the roof. We hoped to be able to patch the roof, but there are so many holes that it's nearly as expensive as just ripping off the old one and getting a brand new roof installed. I would not recommend the Weiser Idaho Champion Home Builders. Luxury Homes in Springville Utah was OK, but they weren't helpful at all after the purchase when we had issues. They basically told us what we needed to buy/do to fix the issues ourselves."
"I am very disappointed in the quality of the small home I purchased for my mother. We moved her onto our property and went with Champion Homes out of Weiser Idaho. So far we are having nothing but problems and she has only lived in the home for a month. We paid $110,000 cash for this terrible home. The breakfast bar is warped and unlevel, the kitchen outlets are forced into the wall crooked, the first bedroom door is actually completely split along the inside of the door and the window in that room has a guide that is not even in the window and a broken frame, the screens were not even completely set in the screen frame, the flooring is scratched and a nail is protruding up underneath the kitchen floor, the recessed light fixture on the deck is crooked and falling out, there is scuffs all over the wood of the unusable breakfast bar, you can see without trying how terrible the interior paint is, missing paint under the stove hood, there is a massive gap under one of the main doors to the home allowing wind and rain water inside. The furnace is crooked in the wall and dented. Their recommended delivery and setup guy never came to finish the job of putting the trim around the foundation and quit communication with us, the trim is living on the deck now. We purchased an extended warranty and will be submitting all the issues we have found to the home builders. If they make things right, we will update our review. If not, we will be reporting them to the BBB and calling an attorney. Please look at a different home builder for your needs. This is such a disappointment. My mom is on a very low income and sold her home in Nevada to move onto our property so we can address her health concerns. These guys ripped off a broken old lady."
"We have had nothing but problems with our Champion built home. The quality of materials and quality of the work is terrible. Rusty nails poking through the drywall, missing screws from cover plates, doors hung crooked, I can keep going. We've had to have the contractor from the selling company come over to fix stupidity issues several times in the 6 months we've owned the home. For $300k for a manufactured home, I'd expect at least some quality."
