"I couldn't tell you how their rooms are because we won't be going to find out. The sales people tell you the reservation can be canceled up to 48 hours from the reservation, but actually charge you $50 if you try to reschedule within 2 weeks or the full price if you try to cancel. Ridiculous. We were able to talk the fee down to $50 to cancel -- but they wouldn't send us a receipt, and told me to "check my bank statement". Needless to say, won't book with this group or property now or in the future."
"Do not buy a timeshare from BGV! It is fine to stay at the properties---the properties are very nice, very well run, and have awesome locations---but you can buy the same timeshare from current owners for a tiny fraction of the price that BGV will pitch to you. Many timeshare owners want to unload them for nearly nothing just to get out from under the HOA fees. BGV won't tell you that. Be cautious and skeptical if you meet with the BGV sales team, and be sure to check other ways of purchasing before buying anything through BGV."
"Do not trust anything from the sales pitch. This is a timeshare that you will be stuck paying for the rest of your life! We listened to the sales pitch because our friends had purchased as an 'investment'. We were told this was a "fractional ownership" real estate and not a timeshare. We were told it would increase in value like any real estate. We told them we were not interested in using the property for vacation but as an investment. We somehow got scammed anyway and have paid over $30k for a down payment on a property we haven't used and don't intend to. The "3rd party resellers" can't even pay what we paid in a down payment if you can find anyone who will buy it. Biggest mistake of my life---Don't make the same mistake we did. Stay away from this place!"
"My husband and I purchased our ownership at Peak 8 before it even opened. We then upgraded our ownership at Peak 8 and added an ownership at Grand Timber for the Interval International points. In the beginning, we enjoyed our ownership at Peak 8 and took a couple of vacations through Interval International. Unfortunately, my husband had a stroke 2 1/2 years ago that left him with mobility challenges that require him to use a wheelchair. Since then, we have been VERY unhappy with our ownerships with BGV. We have booked reservations at Peak 8 and specifically confirmed that we had an accessible room, only to be told, at check in, that we had to choose between the room type we had booked or an accessible room. Just this week we tried booking bonus time at Peak 8 only to be told that we couldn't have an accessible room. So bonus time is useless to us now. As far as Interval International goes, they have NO accessibility information on ANY of their properties. It is impossible to book an accessible room through Interval International. Because of this, our Grand Timber ownership is pretty useless to us as the property layout there is very challenging for someone in a wheelchair. When we met with a representative of BGV and asked if they would buy our Grand Timber ownership back due to our inability to use Interval International, we were told our only option was to pay MORE money and upgrade our ownership at Peak 8. BGV wants your money and that's it. Once you've bought in, they don't care about you. There are many other options for lodging in Breckenridge. Choose something else. Don't end up like us with a useless ownership with a company that doesn't care about you."
"As part of our booking at the Breck Inn (which was upgraded to a 1BR suite at the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 at no charge), we agreed to tour the Grand Colorado. We appreciated the approach that our sales associate, Tanner, took in showing us the property, sharing the history of Breckenridge Grand Vacations and how ownership there differed from and was also similar to time share. Tanner was not at all high pressure. He asked pertinent questions that helped us understand what it would mean to become an owner at either Grand Colorado or the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 and how the money invested would benefit how we travel. We decided that buying was not for us at that time, but we are not opposed to reconsidering in the future. Tanner's approach is a big part of the fact that our decision wasn't no, but rather "not yet.""
