"An amazing Spokane facility! There is a whirlpool, a water playground with small slide for smaller kids, and big slides for us big kids!"
"It was overall really fun. Two good water slides, the yellow one was slower the blue one faster. Then a purple kids slide. There is a good amount of pool space for playing in the water. Now onto my criticisms. This park would be 5 stars but the rules are a little over the top. To sum up my criticism of the rules, if your kids aren't decent swimmers they'll be VERY limited in the fun they can have. 1. You can't ride with your child down the purple slide. Basically if your kids want help going down the waterslide you're out of luck. 2. No goggles in the whirlpool. This one makes no sense even from a safety standpoint. 3. No handstands, again this is another nonsensical rule. 4. No wearing goggles on the waterslide. Again, what harm will plastic goggles cause? If anything they'll protect your eyes from injury when you hit the water. Most of these rules are based on some 1 in a million accident that happened 20 years ago. There's no evidence these rules actually make anyone safer. Lighten up a little, make people sign wavers if your that worried."
"Loved it here! Nice and clean, friendly staff, and the best part is it's free."
"There are so many unnecessary rules and the lifeguards don’t notice what they should be noticing. One stupid rule is you’re not allowed to splash, it’s a fricking pool for crying out loud! How do you not splash?! I don’t know if this pool had a maximum capacity but if so lower it and if not make one please. There were far to many people and barely any room to actually swim. I was trying to swim underwater and a teenage boy jumped onto the pool and kicked me in the face. The lifeguard didn’t even notice and was blowing his whistle at a kid who was splashing. They don’t allow hand stands underwater which are one of my favorite things to do in a pool. I generally I felt overwhelmed by all of the unnecessary rules and scared I was going to be injured again. Also the pool liner was very scratchy and painful, my starting bleeding when I was swimming because of how rough it was. 1/10 would not recommend"
"On Saturday, July 2, 2022, I took my daughter to the Hillyard Aquatic Center for the first time. I can sum up our experience with a question: What’s not to like? Admission is free, the facility is clean, and there are several attractions. Water slides for both young and old, a whirlpool, diving boards, and lap swimming are all available. We set out our towels on the grassy area and just had a really nice (and refreshing) time. We will return this summer."
