"This hotel is not the place. The pub is absolute trash. Food is either out of stock or takes an hour and a half to come out. The food is absolutely terrible and everything is overpriced. I went to check in at 2:30 and they said they couldn't get me in anything but a deluxe room at the time. So I waited until 4 and then they said my premier room was under construction so they could still only put me in a deluxe room. Then they are ok with booking 5 people but when I show up they say it's $35 for a cot. The amenities are ran down and sub par. A resort fee for $25 for a couple bottles of water and some wifi. The only two good staff members here were the waitress Lindsey from the pub and the gentlemen (didn't catch his name) from the bowling alley. The night desk clerk on 3/12 is a square who told me that my kids were being too loud walking back to their room at 11 pm. Spend some time changing the overflowing trash cans instead of harassing your guests. Get over yourself, stud. Not worth the money overall. Stay in the park or next door at the red lodge. This place is in desperate need of a new hospitality manager. Its pieced together without a clue on how to properly run a hotel. Edit: I would sure hope that I didn't get charged for a roll away bed since we didn't even use one. But I'm glad that's the least you could do. It's also not about checking in early. It's about that you still downgraded a room that I already paid for. And quiet hours or not, there's an appropriate way and an inappropriate way to address guests. Clearly your staff needs retraining on that topic. So thanks for your passive aggressive reply, I hope you emptied your trash cans and cleaned up beer bottles and wine glasses that have been sitting around for 12+ hours in the mean time. I did communicate my needs multiple times, and all went unanswered. Thanks for your super genuine concern. Sorry if I hurt your ego as the hotel manager."
"Great hotel with lots of things to do. Indoor and outdoor pool. Hot tub too. Downstairs is a huge game room with modern games, and a 4-lane bowling alley. Big rooms and makes you feel like you’re next to the Grand Canyon. Was happy to stay here and would come back for a future trip."
"My adult children and I stayed here last year on our trip to the Grand Canyon (June). The hotel was was nice. The rooms do need a little updating but all in all, they were fine. The bathrooms (showers) were the main areas that needed upgrading. We only ate at the hotel once for breakfast. There was a buffet and it was just okay. The pools, both indoor and out, are very nice and are kept very clean. They have smores at night by the firepits which was really nice after a day of hiking. The location is great. Very close to the park entrance and within walking distance to the local restaurants. Parking was never an issue because there is ample space. I would stay here again if in the area and recommend."
"This is a beautiful hotel, hands down. Perfect location just outside the Grand Canyon State Park. We wondered if it’s an Indigenous owned hotel and in any case there is a strong Indigenous presence there and it was good to see. Some reviewers talk about it being dated but I wouldn’t go that far. It must have been stunning when it first opened. Our room showed a little wear but it felt like part of the charm of the place. We had a huge room and appreciated the table and chairs so much. Plus a desk! You’re lucky if you get one or the other in most places these days. They put in so many nice little touches that you don’t find often, including robes in your room, snacks and water, great coffee machine, and top quality bedding and towels. Our only issue was that we couldn’t quite figure out the thermostat so we were either too hot or too cold. Could be just us but maybe instructions in the room would be helpful. All the staff were great and super helpful. Don’t miss the gift shop because it’s probably the best selection of better sourced and higher quality souvenir items in the area."
"We loved this hotel. The rooms are big and clean. S'mores at night for free, coffee and hot coco as well. The hot tub outside was fun and we did cold dips in the pool- awesome. The restaurant and bar are nothing to write home about. There are not many options so, you kinda stuck unless you want to drive.. The Arcade was fun- our kids are almost adults but they still had fun using up the cash the hotel gives per room."
