"Rick was phenomenal in the help that he gave me. Living off grid and just now connecting up a generator to my fifth wheel, I knew very little. The electrical cord that I was using even though would be considered standard was not sufficient. He came out on his own time to review what I was going to need and instead of making me the one that I had asked, he made sure that I had a much better value and a much stronger cord with the proper ends. He goes above and beyond the call of duty which I truly appreciate. As the owner of the olive branch of La medicine, I can guarantee you that Rick will put in the extra mile to make sure that your needs are met above and beyond and that you are satisfied!"
"What an amazing company! Rick was quick to respond and work me into his busy schedule! He fixed multiple issues that were originally done wrong by another local firm and causing headaches. Can’t adequately express my gratitude for having the job done right and how quickly he accomplished multiple tasks. He is a veteran, big plus in my book. Great work ethic, considerate of his surroundings, polite, and super friendly. Would definitely recommend!"
"Rick's working hard, and is one of a handful of folks, who will. He drove over, inspected my well, (just eyeballing it) and gave me ideas to move FORWARD! Everybody's busy this time of year, but he made time. As a veteran myself, I appreciate that, and look forward to working with O.G.U. (he even offered to bring steaks for the BBQ!)...lol"
"Called Rick to get an initial assessment of options for utilities on my property. Rick was very accommodating to my schedule which is difficult to work around. We met on the property and spent several hours walking around looking at potential solar locations and evaluating water sources. His knowledge of the landscape in North Idaho was truly amazing and the options discussed were not what I was expecting. His goal is to do what's right or the client regardless of how much he can make. His attitude and willingness to tromp through the very overgrown forest was inspiring. After the visit he followed up with a written report with recommendations. Would definitely recommend this group for any off grid solutions. A+ in my book."
"Had to hire another contractor to come fix Off Grid’s mistakes. My surge protectors weren’t installed correctly, there were no breakers installed to shut off the controllers, and they nearly destroyed my lithium ion battery bank because they set the charge controller up to charge a lead-acid battery. It took 2 weeks for the company I purchased my battery from to fix it. In reply to your reply: The propane heater generated problems how so? You stood there in front of it warming yourself talking with me and never mentioned a thing. The actual LICENSED electrical contractor that came to fix your work, told me that your work was a hack job at best. You specifically told me that you did not hold a electrical contractors license in the state of Idaho. You are just a registered general contractor, which requires no testing or license. Anyone can get one if they spend a couple hundred dollars. Idaho requires all contractors that perform electrical work to be licensed. The contractor that came to fix your mistakes, had to rewire our entire system. The surge protectors you installed weren’t even doing a thing. You could’ve burnt my whole house down. I hope you learn from this, so that your future, unsuspecting customers are left in a safer position than you left my family. You should be ashamed of yourself, and your misleading business practices. THIS COMPANY IS NOT A LICENSED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR - Per the owner’s own words to me."
