"I had BCBS MN, was a breeze never any issue and if there was they handled it right then and there. BCBSWY has got to be the biggest joke, honestly. They make you jump through hoops and do all the work for them to not solve any of the problems."
"Horrible customer service. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and all the representatives are rude. I had a routine visit to my in-network primary doctor for a sinus infection in early February which falls under the $30 copay. The claim was processed and I got a bill from my doctor for $262. I received the EOB that said it had been applied to my deductible. Immediately I called BCBS-WY and they sent it back for review. It still came back showing I owed $262. Called again and once again they re-submitted. I received a message in my online account stating the EOB is correct and it was not paying because it was an out-of-network doctor! This is my primary which claims have been successfully processed for in the past. I had her look up the doctor and she said she is definitely in network. And what doesn't even make any sense is they applied the amount to my "in-network" deductible when they claimed I saw an out-of-network doctor. Called AGAIN 3/28 and spoke with Sylvia. I was told that the reason now is because I saw a specialist and that does not fall under the copay, but the deductible! They can see going back in my claim history that this is my regular primary doctor and my regular clinic. She's even listed in the BCBS-WY physician's list as a family practice doctor, not a specialist! Resubmitted again. This has been going on for 2 1/2 months and I called once again today and spoke with Debra. Same song and dance. They said they would resubmit. I asked her why this is taking so long. Her response... "it just does and others have been waiting for much longer." Wow! This isn't a complicated claim. No hospital stay. No expensive procedure or surgery. This was a 15 minute routine primary care office visit. When asking to speak to someone who can expedite this all they tell you is no one is available and that the "researcher" has to make the final decision..... whoever the "researcher" is. We have been with several insurance companies throughout the years. Some have been BCBS in other states which have been excellent. BCBS Wyoming is by far the worst insurance we have ever had when it comes to claims, competency and member services. Downright rude people."
"The worst customer service out of any company I have ever had to speak with in my life. I would avoid using them at all cost if you can. Its a real shame that in Wyoming they are your only choice for health insurance through the marketplace. If I could give 0 stars I would. Ive been in a two month battle with them over medicine I was forced to pay for when I got the flu because they had accidentally canceled my policy even though I had paid my premium. I've spoke with them over 5 times and each time they tell me something different as if no one knows what is going on. It seems like they are trained to make your life as hard as possible even though you are paying them for health insurance. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!"
"You think an insurance company would make it as easy as possible to pay them, right? Not BCBS. All I want to do is pay my premium, and their 3rd party billing website fails to initiate scheduled payments that were set up two weeks ahead of time. Well hell, at least I'll make a one time payment and figure out the reoccurring payments later. ...except their archaic billing website doesn't provide a process to do so and gives an irreconcilable error message when you select "Pay." Automated over-the-phone payment? Nope. Godspeed to those calling them during business hours."
"If I could give them zero stars, I would. I have sat on hold for a combined 2 hrs for the same issue and still have not talked to someone. They have applied a deductible amount to a separate out-of-network deductible when it was a charge from CRMC. I have messaged them about this issue as well without response. This had been going on since April! Sure, I could tell the automated service to return my call when my place in line comes up, but given I work for a living, I can not be by my phone when they finally decide to call me back. Also, purely trying to navigate through the automated system to talk to someone s ridiculous."
