"I initially had a very competent attorney with this firm, who left in the middle of my divorce case. Julia took over (bad mistake on my part). I have read the other reviews below, and they are 100% accurate. I find her to be rude, and abrasive if I have a question. I don't know the law, so that is why I hired her, but felt belittled by asking simple questions. If you like being made to fell like a 5 year old, hire her. Otherwise, I bet you could throw a dart at the phonebook and find better representation. To top it off, I finally finalized my divorce after 2 years, and she missed that opposing counsel changed the property list, and I was not allowed to get some of the main items that I bought and paid for and wanted. Also, I didn't get my personal property for 2 years. So my ex was allowed to hide stuff and take advantage of that time. I hate posting negative reviews, but be warned. She is just the worst. Update: No! I absolutely will not reconsider my review. Julia didn't file the last page of my property list, then wanted to charge me for her mistake. I'm seeing lots of similar reviews, and I'm seeing now that it isn't just me who felt let down. In the end she filled a motion to drop me a client, because I'd lost confidence in her abilities as my counsel. What a joke. Because she got a bad review, she tuck tails, and runs. Would never recommend this firm."

"My husband has used Boyd twice now and both times he has done a phenomenal job. He was honest with us every step of the way and was great about getting back to us in a timely manner if we had any questions. His legal assistant Teresa is always pleasant to talk to as well. We highly recommend!"

"Its was okay. I had a very cut and dry no contest already sorted divorce. The process took a very long time and communication was not the best. But it was cheap. They did eventually get everything taken care of. I feel as though if i went somewhere else and paid a bit more i would have received better communication and personal investment/concern about my case with it likely being concluded much quicker. However, staff were generally quite nice, their office is clean and tidy, etc. So yeah, if you need a lawyer for a divorce and you arent made of money, they will handle your case. Just don't expect anything to happen quickly and you will certainly have to pull a few hairs for case updates."

"Was in search of a reliable and reputable lawyer to help me with a custody issue with my daughter. I called Joseph, Hollander and Craft and was assigned to Desiree Smith. From the beginning, she lacked the empathy, warmth or people skill to really care about the gravity of my situation. I would call to speak to her, and was met with “ She’s in a meeting, she’ll call you back” or “ you can email her and she’ll return your email by close of day.” Neither of those things happened. I would get a call a week later or an email several days after I needed answers to be able to seek her counsel on how to proceed. I was appalled with her lack of efficiency and minimal effort when it came to handling my case. In conclusion of my case, I didn’t get any follow up with how things were handled or thanking me for my business. This is not the first lawyer I’ve worked with or my first time in the system needing counsel. All of these matters could have been handled with much more professionalism and candor. Very disappointed with the quality of her work and the firm in general."
