Cameron Cox, LCSW

Cameron Cox, LCSW is a mental health institution located at 3288 East Pine Avenue in Meridian, Idaho, United States. This institution is a new resource for those who lack mental health benefits and/or sufficient funds to pay for counseling services. Jacqueline Moore, a Master’s of Professional Counseling Intern, is available to see clients for a reduced self-pay fee of $20 per session.

Cameron Cox has been working in the social services field since 2010, with experience in developmental disability services, inpatient psychiatric care, foster care, school counseling, and outpatient counseling. He specializes in mental health, trauma recovery, play therapy, marriage and family therapy, and sex addiction recovery. Cameron graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a degree in social work and received his master’s degree in social work with a clinical mental health focus from the University of Utah.

As a counselor, Cameron believes that every person has the capability to change and improve their lives through developing self-awareness and acceptance, recognizing inherent strengths. He takes a holistic approach to counseling, considering all aspects of the person and their environment that are relevant to their wellness and ability to thrive. Cameron uses evidence-based models such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Filial Therapy. He is also trained in providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
