"Ray is a fantastic man, as well as a very competent lawyer. He worked miracles for my father and got me the custody back from my kids very quickly. I highly recommend him for all needs."
"Called for assistance in a disability discrimination case. The male attorney who answered the phone argued with me about what the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) consisted of. Literally said he knew what I was saying about the ADA wasn’t true when what I was saying absolutely IS true. He didn't know the difference between an ESA (emotional support animal) and a service animal so wanted to place his ignorance off on me. I don’t expect everyone to know the difference so I explained the difference to him. I know the ADA thoroughly, not only because I’m disabled, but because I work with disability advocacy groups who are composed of all lawyers. These same advocacy lawyers have offered to assist & educate any criminal lawyer that I found that would represent me in this case. So they would’ve happily told him the law as well. I cant believe a lawyer who pretends on their website to fight for clients, wanted to tell a disabled person looking for representation that they were wrong about the ADA when the lawyer themselves had zero knowledge of the ADA. I called him over an infraction case of which I wasn’t even guilty—imagine if you actually were guilty of a crime & of a misdemeanor or felony. He didn’t know that the ticket I got can go all the way to the felony range if you continued to be ticketed. He didn’t look up my city’s code nor even ask what city I lived in, so he doesn’t even know what he’s talking about with that either. He didn’t know the ADA, but said he couldn’t imagine what I told him about the ADA was true. Um, why doesn’t he take a minute to google it or at least show an ounce of courtesy & politeness & say, “I’m not sure what the ADA says. I’m unfamiliar with the law so I’d have to look it up.” Instead, he wanted to argue with me that he was right even though he admitted he hadn’t read the law. He wanted to compare people taking peacocks on airplanes to a disabled person utilizing a service dog in life. He didn’t know there’s no such thing as service dog registration or certification & that while I do have paperwork from my dr showing the need for my service dog, that it is illegal for anyone to ask for paperwork or proof of a service dog or any demonstration of its skills. I let him know the 2 questions that can be asked: is that a service dog? And what services does it provide? Again, he claimed that wasn’t true. Look it up!! After arguing with me & being incredibly rude for no reason besides the fact he has an ego thru the roof (all the while I was nothing but courteous) he throws out a HUGE price of what he what charge me: $2,500-3,500 for an infraction ticket! For those who don’t know, an infraction isn’t even a criminal ticket, it’s a ticket allegeding that you broke a city code. I said I would be willing to pay whatever was needed since my federal ADA rights had been broken & that the ADA was established to protect the disabled from this type of nonsense from police & others. He just HAD to be rude a bit longer, claim I was wrong, & continue to act like a jerk before he abruptly says, “your court date isn’t available on my calendar anyways.” Mind you, this was after I had to explain to him over & over that there wasn’t a pre-trial conference even though he wanted to claim there was. There wasn’t! There isn’t a pretrial conference on an infraction ticket! Who the heck is this guy & where did he get his degree?? He wanted to argue when he didn’t even have the date available to go to court. Does he actually think I would use someone like him to defend me who doesn’t know the law & won’t take the 2 minutes it takes to google that I am telling him the truth of what the ADA entails? Holy cow! I’ve never spoken to such a rude, self-serving, misinformed, arrogant person in my life. To have zero knowledge of disability rights is one thing, but to claim he was right & I was wrong when he knew he was ignorant of the law is insane. To compare a peacock on an airplane to a service dog protected by the ADA is ignorant as heck, even after I explained to him the difference. Yuck! Stay away!"
