"Even though I didn't have an appointment and was expecting to just drop paperwork off, not only was Mr. Appleton there but he also took the time to see me and talk about the papers and details! I was very pleased that everything was able to be discussed and clarified at that time, and face-to-face, to get matters dealt with rather than at a later time over the phone. He was very patient with my ignorance and it ended up being a very pleasant meeting - which is something I cannot say I've had to many of when it comes to lawyers! Thank you Mr. Appleton. Update: I normally do not update a review but ultimately I could not in good conscious have such a positive review for what became a nightmare of an experience! The whole point if paying an attorney is because they know the law and you don't! It should have been clue number one to us when he openly stated in his email that he was "at a loss" as to how to complete the work we needed to have accomplished, for which I then had to research and discover how to do it and then just give him the paperwork to file with the clerk!! Because of Mr. Appleton's ineptitude and advice to us to "not worry about" certain things we, lost MILLIONS of dollars in assets, which he lied to us and in court stated untrue things about us (I imagine that since we weren't present he was assuming we would never read the court minutes to know what he'd said) that were in direct opposition to our actions and against us and our side of the case. Then he filed and withdrew as our attorney, giving us only a partial refund. I would recommend ANY lawyer over the incompetence of Mr. Appleton! The very first appointment ended up being the only pleasant experience had with him. The rest of the experience was a complete dumbfounded-ness at the debilitating loses we incurred by listening to his legal advice and inability to complete the very tasks he was hired to accomplish in the first place!! Not only this, but furthermore created lie's about us to cover his own ineptitude. I believe I would have been better off had I just represented us in court, rather than suffer the horrible results of his "legal representation"! As the judge had said in apology to us, that the erroneous advice from our attorney did not reprieve us of the results for not having knowledge of the law ourselves... Which was why I thought we had an attorney in the first place!! And it is not an exaggeration to say we lost millions in assets...."
