"I wish I could give this church a 5, based simply on the kindness and acceptance of its congregation. After our first visit as new members of the community, they made us feel welcome enough to come back the next Sunday. Unfortunately, after Pastor Noah’s sermon yesterday (which would be 1/5 stars, so I averaged a 3/5) we will never go back. I admit that prior to his sermon, I didn’t know that Baptists are Cessationists. But regardless of their belief system, and how it compares to Continuationists, his sermon was opinionated, judgmental, and condescending. You don’t have to take my word for it…go to their Facebook page (Oct 1st, Sola Scriptura) and watch from minutes 10:20 to 13:55. you will hear and see for yourself how this pastor delivers his messages. I didn’t realize that all Christians are lumped into one or the other category(!) I come from a Bible-based Evangelical church that holds scripture in the highest regard, as truth and God’s written word. Therefore I also accept what Paul wrote to his churches as truth. Pastor Noah referenced 1Corinthians 10 and 11 for our communion, but he apparently hasn’t read 1Corinthians 12 (4-11 and 27-30). Or 1Corinthians 14:36-40. If Noah is right, how can he believe in the Holy Spirit, which works through us and speaks to us? Maybe Noah is simply young and still learning, but that is no excuse to point fingers at fellow Christians as lesser believers. The online videos can help you decide if this church is right for you before you go in person."

"I had the pleasure of visiting this little Baptist church with my sister. Everytime I'm in town I always look forward to going back... They're the nicest people who welcome you as soon as you enter. It's an amazing little church tucked away in the mountains that totally makes you feel like you're right at home. This church has a small town feel but has a huge heart and a love for God. If you want a Jesus loving, come as you are kind of church, this little Baptist church is where you will find it."
