"I have been working with Michael Jaramillo for 5 months in the Jazz Labs Northwest setting. Having studied music in college and playing professionally in my 20s, I had to put my trumpet away for almost 28 years. I had a strong desire to play again upon retirement and enjoyed practicing, but had no outlet to apply my music. Now I get to play the music I love twice a month and am learning more about improvisation than I ever learned in college.
