"I had been a patient of Thriveworks for a little over two months. The counselor I saw was very helpful and provided me good guidance on dealing with some recent personal matters.My review is not of my counselor but of her parent company, Thriveworks. I am a MEDICARE patient with a secondary insurer that covers most of what MEDICARE does't. For my first 6 or so visits the billing was fairly straight forward and my services were covered 100% with no out-of-pocket costs. For later visits THRIVEWORKS started billing me, apparently for additional costs that were not being covered. When I inquired about my bill I received no response, no explanation. I called several times and nothing. I contacted my counselor and she tried to get a response for me and still, nothing. I was not about to pay my bill until I heard from them to know what was going on. After waiting a couple weeks I was surprised to see that THRIVEWORKS had used the credit card I was required to have on file with them to withdraw the amount I owed, w/o my consent. Two weeks later and I still haven't heard a word. THRIVEWORKS is not a reputable provider. If they will take money from me without explaining why, I fear they would do the same with any other patient. My advice, stay away. Any business that continues in this manner with total disregard for their patients concerns should not be trusted to honestly deal with any patient's health issues. BEWARE!"
